We are pleased to present this 2006 Porsche 987 Cayman S finished in Midnight Blue Metallic over a Sand Beige interior. This top-range Cayman S model was configured at an original sticker price of over $65k with options including heated front seats, 19” Carrera Classic wheels, a rear model designation delete, the Bose Surround Sound System, and a 6-speed manual transmission. Having remained under the care of the same family from new, this Cayman S is now being offered for auction by its owner out of California with approximately 10k miles showing on the odometer.
The bodywork of the 987 was influenced by historic Porsche racing cars including the 904 and 550 Coupe, and this example comes finished in Midnight Blue Metallic with an optional rear model designation delete, Bi-Xenon headlamps, and 19” Carrera Classic wheels with color crested center caps. The wheels have received a custom chrome finish and come dressed in a set of original Continental tires, one of which was replaced in 2007. An additional matching chrome wheel and tire are said to accompany the sale. Some imperfections are noted on the front-end clear bra, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, you will find a Sand Beige standard leather interior with heated front seats, the Bose Surround Sound System, and Sea Blue floor mats. The cabin is described to be in very good original condition with only minor wear present on the driver seat.
Powered by a mid-mounted 3.4L flat-six engine rated at 295 HP and 251 lb.-ft of torque, this Cayman S is capable of accelerating from 0-60 MPH in approximately 5 seconds. The rear wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual transmission and stopping power is handled by fixed 4-piston disc brakes at all corners. There are no outstanding service items reported at this time.
This sale will include a set of two keys, the original owner's manuals, and a clean title. For any discerning driver in search of a 987 Cayman, this low mileage one-family-owned 6-speed example makes a perfect choice.

@supersmashedbro Hello buyer, yes they are from the factory. I believe you can zoom in on the tires.
Are those trhe factory tires? Curious what the date codes on it are
@JimHawkins Hello buyer, the primary driver became ill with kidney issues, now in need of a kidney transplant. Our lives changed and the beautiful long rides through gorgeous open roads were far and few in between. We drive the car to keep fluids moving but it deserves to be driven as it was meant to be driven. Or tucked away in a beautiful collection and shown off on stage. The deer whistle helps keep animals away on an open road and the era in witch the primary driver is from, made sense to him. Whom ever wins this car will be an extremely lucky person. Hope this helps answer questions and fill in the gaps.
Such an interesting vehicle. I have a 2007 Cayman S and love it. Whoever wins this car will certainly enjoy it.
I just don't understand the deer whistles and radar detector in a car that is driven two hundred miles per year?
And when I looked at the pictures, I am inclined to believe that the car really does have 10k miles on it (ie, not odo fraud) but then I have to ask - WHY? Why, if you live in either CA or NM (I've lived in both) and you have a Cayman S, why aren't you driving it? It just doesn't make sense to me.
You put deer whistles and a radar detector in the best driving car ever built, and then you don't drive it?
I sure wish I knew the rest of that story.
GLWA.

@agt6381 Yes, absolutely…original home in CA, then 2nd home in NM, moved back to CA. Same family, only 2 drivers of car same family. Both of us very particular about our cars.
Can you explain CA first owner and 2nd owner in car fax? Now back in CA. I also send a message.
@agt6381 Hello buyer, I’m the original owner. The car has been driven only by myself and one other person.
Are you the 3rd owner?

@MGarza Hello buyer, the pics from the underside should be uploaded by Monday. Hope they help answer all your questions. It It truly is a beautiful car, inside and out!
@BrokerWarren Hello Buyer, glad to hear the front grill issue is resolved for you. I hope to have better images of the underside for you tomorrow Saturday.
Pics of little value, but you did clear up the front center grille issue. Thank you.
@BrokerWarren Hello buyer, I hope the additional pics help answer your questions. The missing Deer Whistle is an $11.99 item from Amazon. There is no damage on front grill, no need for replacement.

@gf2020 The car has been driven sparingly, the wheels are original to the purchase of the car. Hope this helps answer your question, I get excited on the beauty of the car.
@gf2020 Hello buyer, yes, lots of “bling” but it adds such beauty! It’s truly an eye catching car, on and off the road.
@BrokerWarren Hello buyer, I’ll get some underside images though I’m afraid I don’t have access to a lift. This car has been driven sparingly. Should you choose to tuck this car away in a collection or add another 10K-miles to it, please bid to your comfort level. This car would be worthwhile! However, seldom do one-family-from new 10K-Mile 6-Speed Cayman S’ come to market (food for thought)!
Lots of chrome wheels lately!

From the photos it appears the front center grille is in need of repair or replacement. Comment please. Would it be possible to lift the car an get some underside photos? Finally, have you factored in your reserve, the cost of replacing 15 year old tires? Thank you!
@MGarza it does - thanks!
@estiles001 The car is usually driven on the highway on not so busy days to avoid stop and go traffic. Not to much city driving. Hope that helps answer your questions.
@MGarza thanks for the quick response. When you do drive the vehicle, are you doing 30 min+ drives generally or shorter drives? Just trying to get a sense of the type of miles - city vs. highway, etc.
Bid in the amount of $12,500
@estiles001 We’ve had the pleasure over the years to drive it sparingly. To the best of my knowledge it has not sat idle. Hope this helps.
Beautiful car! Could you tell me a little more about usage of the vehicle? Looks like only 4k miles in the past 10 years, so wondering if it was used consistently or sat for awhile.
Welcome everyone, I look forward to answering questions. I hope you enjoy looking at this beautiful care as much as I do. Once you're in it, its a beauty, a complete joy!
