Up for auction is this well-sorted 2006 Porsche Cayman S. With its mid-mounted engine and rigid lightweight chassis, the Cayman is arguably one of the best handling vehicles in Porsche’s lineup. Loaded with factory options and showing 70k miles on the odometer, this Cayman S is now being offered for auction in excellent condition by the seller.
The car was sold new in Connecticut before eventually making its way to New Jersey where it currently resides. It is stated to have been located in the same neighborhood for over 10 years and remains in extremely good shape for its age and mileage.
The classic Arctic Silver Metallic paint is stated to be in excellent condition showing only a few typical rock chips to the front end. According to the paint meter readings provided in the gallery, all panels still hold their original paint aside from the rear drivers fender due to cosmetic damage. It is said that the prior owner made contact with a car in their driveway when backing out of the garage. The car is equipped with beautiful 19” Carrera Classic Wheels that wear a new set of Continental Extreme Contact tires. While remaining completely stock, this Cayman S is sure to turn some heads.
This Cayman S sports a desirable full Cocoa leather interior that is paired with an exterior color-matched center console (a $3.2k option when new). Additional features include: heated front seats, automatic climate control, Bose surround sound system, sport shifter, and sport steering wheel. Overall, the interior is stated to be in excellent condition with minimal wear.
Power comes from a mid-engine 3.4L flat-six which produces 295 HP and is connected to a smooth 6-speed manual transmission. Serviced regularly at Flemington Porsche of NJ, the car is said to be completely up-to-date on maintenance.
Recent service items include:
There is speculation that Porsche intentionally curbed power output on Cayman models so they wouldn’t totally outperform the flagship 911. Rumor or not, you would be hard-pressed to find issue with this two-seater’s performance as the Cayman is a mainstay on Car and Driver’s annual 10 Best list.
The sale will include all books, all keys, and a Carfax report.

@javiercardona Thank you for the interest. The car is a beautiful example and you won't be disappointed. I wish I could disclose the reserve, but unfortunately it is against the auction policy and rules to disclose the reserve. If I did, they would ban me from selling cars on their site in the future. What I can tell you, is the reserve is set at a reasonable number based on the cars value. Sorry I couldn't be more specific.
I am interested in this car. Can you confirm the reserve?

@rye Thank you for your questions. The answers are as follows:
The tires were mounted prior to us owning the car, but they were installed at Sloan Porsche in PA on 7/27/2018 with 68,427 miles on the car approximately 2,000 miles ago.
The A/C is ice cold. As far as I can tell, the clutch is original and there is no documentation that it was replaced.
Other info: 4/21/19 Drive belts replaced and all the pulleys, Thermostat replaced, Water Pump replaced. Oil and filter changed.
11/19/18 Oil and Filter Changed
7/27/18 Oil and Filter and Tires Replaced
4/13/17 60,000 miles service performed
6/17/16 Brake Fluid Flush and Changed
This car was always maintained properly and cared for. I hope that helps. Don't hesitate to ask any other questions.

Hi seller, did you install the Continental tires mentioned in the description or was that before you came into possession of the vehicle?
How is the A/C?
Is it still on the original clutch?
Any more details would be appreciated, thanks so much!

@grooveDedge I like the combo as, looks great on both cars. To answer your question. Yes, it was a minor scratch, when the previous owner backed out of her garage into her other car. Original panels still on the car and just some minor paint work on the driver rear fender. No airbag deployment. Low speed in the driveway. Thanks for asking.
Ironic that there is a Boxster S and Cayman S here at the same time with this color combo. I’m actually bidding on the Boxster and a buddy of mine said he thinks the color combo would be great on a Cayman. I’m pointing him towards this car. I know the Carfax shows an incident, is it safe to say no bodywork, panel replacement or airbag deployment? Just a scratch or minor dent was fixed? Thanks.
