This 2006 Porsche 987 Boxster S comes finished in Seal Grey Metallic over a Stone Grey leather interior and pairs a 6-speed manual transmission with its mid-mounted flat-six engine. The car was optioned from the factory including a BOSE Sound System, Power Seat Package, automatic climate control, Silver seatbelts, and Porsche crest embossed headrests. This Boxster S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of North Carolina with approximately 81k miles on the odometer.
Distinguishable as a Boxster S by its Porsche labeled red brake calipers and dual exhaust outlets, this 987 is finished in Seal Grey Metallic paint and features a black top. This Boxster S rides on optional 19" Carrera S Wheels which come wrapped in Grenlander Sportway 56 tires and feature optional colored Porsche crest center wheel caps. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing damage to have occurred in May 2009 and October 2020.
The cabin features heated and power-adjustable leather seats in Stone Grey. Amenities include a Bose sound system, a Porsche Winds Stop, automatic climate control, Porsche crest embossed headrests, and Silver seatbelts. Modifications include blue floor mats and a Kenwood stereo head unit with GPS, NAV system, compass, tuner, CD player and an integrated backup camera. The seller reports that the horizontal cover on the cup holder intermittently fails to close. All other gauges and accessories are reported to be functioning properly.
The mid-mounted 3.2-liter flat-six produces 280 HP and 236 lb-ft of torque and sends power to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transaxle. The Boxster S features a nearly 50 HP boost in power over the base Boxster and can accelerate from 0-60 in 5.2 seconds with a claimed top speed of 167 MPH. The CARFAX report shows 21 service records including a recent tire mounting, balancing, and condition check as well as emissions system service and inspection. The seller states that this 987 has also been fitted with new brake rotors.
This sale will include a rebuilt title, a genuine Porsche toolkit, spare tire, air pump, and owner’s manuals.
The seller would like you to know: “I appreciate your interest in this fine automobile. Over the years I have owned a dozen Porsches with several currently in the garage. As an engineer, I look for exceptional quality, performance, and unique colors. You will find this car is up-to-date on all maintenance and will provide much joy.”

Good question as there is ambiguity between states. I researched the car prior to ownership. It had a Los Angeles, CA title that was rebuilt. Upon transfer of the title to me and issuance to NC DMV, I then received a "clean" title - no branding, no rebuilt, stamps, etc. Therefore; the NC title for the car I hold is "clean".

I just want to be 100 percent sure on what I’m bidding on so I can bid accordingly. The listing heading stated the title is rebuilt and you stated in the last email that the title is “clean” . Does the NC title state that the car was rebuilt. Registering a rebuild title in nys is a pain in the &$&-, thanks for the clarification.

Brakes are solid and responsive: Porsche red calipers, cross drilled/ vented rotors, and maybe only 10% pad wear. Tires show 96W M&S with UTQG Treadwear grade of 300. They have 80% tread left with excellent launch and corner control. The car has a "clean" North Carolina title.

Hello, Quick questions: how are the breaks? What’s date code trend on tires?just to clay- the North Carolina title is clear?
Aprilporsche (you)1 day, 2 hours ago
I appreciate your attention to detail. The vehicle currently has a clean North Carolina title issued to me on 8-14-21.

Sorry for all the questions ... I would be importing this to Canada and we have early stretch rules on importing cars with previous salvage title. Just to confirm it currently has a cleaned North Carolina title?

My Porsche mechanic thoroughly inspected the car and found no damage or evidence of previous damage and repair.

No frame damage to this car. It is structurally and mechanically intact as designed.
IMS bearing has not been addressed due to my knowledge. I have owned 4 cars with IMS bearings (911s and Boxsters) without any issues.
Same question as below.
Was there any frame damage sustained in either of the accidents? Has the IMs bearing issue been addressed on this car?

Do you have any pictures of the undercarriage that you could post? Thanks for your time .

@Steveduva Yes you will be able to register this car with a clean title. I have a NC clean title without any branding. The vehicle was repaired prior to my ownership and is in excellent new condition at 81,200 miles. The car is brand new with no maintenance or repairs necessary.
Will i be able to register this car with the tile issues?
The Grenlander Sportway 56 tires have about 3k mi on them and were installed prior to my ownership.
They are 255 35 R19 96W 300 all around (not staggered), sticky and deep grooved tires made in China. These tires have very little wear, launch and handle nicely.
"Grenlander Sportway 56 tires"???

The details I have for the accident deal with the car being hit in the drivers door prior to my ownership. This was a corporate car from Los Angeles overly maintained and repaired at Porsche dealer. This was definitely not a salvage/ total loss situation, as no other damage was present. Insurance companies have their way.
I received the car with the door totally fixed. The paint did not meet my standards so I had a high end painter from NY repaint the entire drivers side. It is immaculate and fully matching.
Bid in the amount of $250
Do you have any additional details of the total loss that lead to salvage title? Pictures of damage/invoices from repair/post repair inspection etc?
