This 2006 Porsche 997 Carrera 4 was a designated launch vehicle, showcasing an Arctic Silver Metallic finish over a black full leather interior. It features a 6-speed manual transmission connected to its naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine and includes the Power Seat Package, Bose High-End Sound Package, Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package, and more. Under the meticulous care of its seller, this example is now being offered for auction out of Minnesota showing approximately 60k miles on the odometer.
The Carerra 4 showcases wider rear bodywork in comparison to the standard Carrera, and this example is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic. Additional equipment includes the Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package. 5-spoke Carrera III wheels have been mounted with Continental Extreme Contact Sport tires since June of 2022. Areas of the exterior have undergone paint correction, and paint protection film has been applied to the front end. Detailed images are provided in the gallery. The CARFAX report shows damage in 2009 and this example has since been sold as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle.
The black full leather interior features the Power Seat Package, heated front seats, Porsche-crested headrests, black floor mats with Porsche lettering, a remote 6-disc CD changer, the Bose High-End Sound Package, self-dimming mirrors, and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). Minor signs of wear are noted including some scratches on the plastic of the center console along with a loose front trunk opening switch. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The 997 Carrera 4 houses a 3.6-liter flat-six engine, generating up to 345 HP and 288 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The seller adds that service throughout 2022 includes all four tires replaced, a wheel alignment, an oil change, and a transmission fluid change. Additionally, the front struts, strut mounts, front brake pads, and rotors have been replaced. A slight grind is reported when shifting into 5th gear in cold weather before the engine has warmed, and the clutch is believed to have been replaced under previous ownership as it seems heavier than stock. The seller adds that the engine number corresponds with a factory-improved IMS bearing for the later 2006 model year.
This sale will include a clean title (lien).

@ish I do not have the service records from previous owners, only what is on the CarFax. Yes, most of the recent work was completed by me outside of the oil change, alignment, and transmission oil change
Bid in the amount of $28,500
Bid in the amount of $28,000
@ish do you have any service records from prior owners? and I assume based on the receipts for purchase of parts that you did the recent work yourself?
Bid in the amount of $27,500
@ish that would be my guess, the clutch is heavier than a stock Porsche clutch but it would have been done under previous ownership.
Bid in the amount of $27,000
so was the clutch replaced with a non-OE unit?
@Evan272 Thanks very much and appreciate the disclosure.
@Nicknaber1 it has not been looked into as it only happens in cold weather and goes away once the engine is warmed up. I have done research online and spoken with Porsche service and based on their responses it is fairly common and not worthwhile to correct. It would be different if it was a lower gear like 1st or 2nd
Any additional detail re: slight grind in 5th? Has this been inspected by an expert to recommend an approach to repair? TIA
@Petda it was previously but I removed the listing so that I could sell it here.
Is the car posted for sale locally in MN?
Bid in the amount of $26,000
@Tgilbert here is the engine number 69602550
Is the engine a Mezger engine?
@ish yes it does
does this have a sunroof?
Bid in the amount of $25,000
In my opinion, it's overall a little heavy in weight due to the 4 wheel mechanics. I prefer the 2's. However, this one looks like a sleeper. It is just getting broken in at 60K.
Too bad it does not have the Sport Chrono (SP) package. The Chrono is worthless (unless you track) but the Sport button definitely is worth it. Wicked throttle response with the SP.
@Coldbru thank you
Thank you for viewing my auction, let me know if you have any questions!
