Up for auction is this 2006 Porsche 997 Carrera Cabriolet finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a Black standard leather interior. This example was sold new at Braman Motorcars of Palm Beach, Florida, before being relocated to South Carolina in 2008. It was sold at an original sticker price of over $88k, and was optioned with a 6-speed manual transmission, heated front seats, the Bose High-End Sound Package, the Power Seat Package, the Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package, and Exclusive Stainless Steel Exhaust Pipes. Having received a lifetime of dealership service as documented by the CARFAX report, this 997 Cabriolet is now being offered at auction by the seller based in Florida showing 38,458 miles on the odometer.
The exterior of this Carrera is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic (92U) and the hood has received the installation of paint protection film. The CARFAX report shows a minor accident in September of 2006, and the seller reports although there is no signs of damage, the front bumper cover has most likely been replaced. The seller describes the exterior as to be in very good condition, noting no noteworthy blemishes. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with the CARFAX report. Exterior equipment includes bi-xenon headlights, fog lights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a speed-activated rear spoiler, Exclusive stainless steel exhaust tips,and red brake calipers. The silver-finished 18” five-spoke wheels are mounted with new Continental ExtremeContact tires that have traveled less than 15 miles since new, and display date codes from 2021.
The interior features power-adjustable heated front seats with memory, which are upholstered in black leather with gray contrast stitching, matching door panels, black carpeting, and Porsche-branded floormats with Gray edging. Features include automatic climate control, cruise control, a Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment system, stainless steel Carrera door sill guards, a leather-wrapped gearshift knob and parking brake handle, and the Bose High-End Sound Package, which equips a 12-speaker sound system and an active subwoofer in the passenger footwell.
This 997 is powered by a naturally aspirated 3.6L M96 flat-six engine which was factory rated at 325 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque, sent to the rear wheels by a 6-speed manual transmission. The CARFAX report shows a consistent history of dealership maintenance since new, and new tires and an oil service were carried out in preparation for the sale. In the last 5k miles, this Carrera has received refinish of the brake calipers, new spark plugs, a new cabin air filter, a new engine air filter, a flush of the braking system, a new serpentine belt, and 3 oil services. This vehicle is said to be up to date on maintenance and needs nothing further. The seller also reports this version of the M96 engine received a larger revised IMS bearing and is not due for replacement.
This sale will include 3 sets of keys, owner’s manuals, a wind deflector, wheel keys, and extensive service records.

@Syed- economists and other experts have predicted 17 of the past 3 recessions?
@phil_c True. None of which seems recession proof. The one with the least downside, will be the winner it seems.
@Syed- there’s the stock market, the bond market, commodities market, real estate market, art market and the Porsche market, plus a few more.. Some do better than others!

@BrownAndCoMotorcars @Powersmotorsports that's good to hear. I asked because I also have low mileage 2006 non-S cab
@brudomen Good morning, I have found it more and more common for people to wait till the last 20 minutes to jump in. 49 watchers and several direct messages is far from no interest in my book. Good luck everyone!
Why no interest in this car???
Good afternoon everyone, very happy to offer this 997 to you all for auction. Oil change and brand new tires mounted just days ago. Such a great driving car, I’ve enjoyed the miles I put on it. Please feel free to reach out with any questions. Thank you, good luck!
