Offered for auction is this 2006 Porsche 997 Carrera Coupe finished in Black over a matching interior. At an original sticker price of over $80k, this first-generation 997 came equipped with optional stainless steel exhaust pipes, Bi-Xenon headlights, the Bose High-End Sound Package, Power Seat Package, Sport Shifter, and 19” wheels which have since been upgraded to a set of Turbo-look rims. This timeless 6-speed Carrera is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California showing approximately 28k miles on the odometer.
This 997 comes finished in Black and features exclusive stainless steel exhaust tips, optional Bi-Xenon headlamps, a retractable sunroof, and a set of upgraded 19” 911 Turbo-look wheels dressed in Pirelli P Zero tires dated from 2015-16. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The black standard leather interior includes optional heated and power-operated seats as well as self-dimming mirrors, the Bose High-End Sound Package, and a factory exclusive Sport Shifter. The original Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system remains in place and some wear is noted on the seat bolsters and climate control knobs.
The naturally aspirated 3.6L flat-six engine produces up to 325 HP and drives the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The CARFAX report shows 17 maintenance records dating back to 2005, including the most recent service by Porsche North Olmstead in 2019.
This sale will include a clean title, one master key, and the original owner's manual.

Yeah, multiple hits in range 3, 4 and 5 no bueno. I'm guessing a pretty hearty money shift 155hrs ago.

Have to agree the Dme looks scary, but only at a discount,
@155MPH same here unfortunately. Range 5 over-revs are no joke and probability of internal engine damage. Additionally not much time has passed since the occurrence either.
That DME report scared me off.
A DME report has been added to the listing gallery.

You will always find chips on a 911. If it does not have chips it's been painted or has ppf. Did you upload the DME report?
@TJW24 Really??! I've never seen this before. Crap on the road? Sand? Little rocks? That's crazy.
@Blubusdrvr Driving in southern CA.
What in the world did that to your front bumper/hood?
Bid in the amount of $17,775
@155MPH Called around to a few more places and found a mechanic that can fit us in tomorrow at 9:30am. Will upload shortly after.
@ChequeredFlag That is really disappointing.
@155MPH Our Porsche mechanic is booked solid so unfortunately won't be able to get to it before auction end.
Hi. Just sent you a PM. Not sure if it went through. Please message me if not.
@ChequeredFlag wow, that hood is peppered with paint chips. Thanks for posting and for the meter readings. We’re you able to get the DME?
We have added paint meter readings and close up shots of the chips along the hood. Thanks.
@Blubusdrvr I see that the seller has removed the listed price from Elferspot and now requires an inquiry. So, that is fair while the car is on the auction block. Hoping the reserve is more reasonable than the previously listed price.
@Blubusdrvr I intentionally did not include the listed price so as not to sway the auction one way or another. I didn’t think that fair. A search of Elferspot won’t take you long to find it if you are so inclined.
@155MPH "So, you have this car also listed on Elferspot. With a price in the concours condition range"
What was it listed for?
Hello, @155MPH. We will schedule a DME with our mechanic. Should be able to get that up this week. Front has some chips along the bumper and hood, you are not seeing things. We can take a couple more shots for you that better show the imperfections. The body panels are have all original paint. We will upload meter readings soon, as well. Thanks.
So, you have this car also listed on Elferspot. With a price in the concours condition range (according to Hagerty). This car is not concours condition (in my opinion only). Would appreciate others opinions.
Also, the pic of the front looks to have many paint chips but not sure because it isn't a clear enough picture to tell if it is chips or reflection. Can you please comment on that? Would be great to get some clear pics of any areas with chips, perhaps in appropriate lighting to avoid reflections that may look like something other than what is actually there. Very interested in this car but trying to figure out if it is a 3 condition car, or somewhere between 3 and 2. Thanks.
Can you post a DME please?
