Equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 3.8-liter flat-six engine, this 2006 Porsche 997 Carrera S Cabriolet is finished in Slate Grey Metallic over a red Leather to Sample interior. The car was sold at an original sticker price of over $114k including optional painted interior trim and Adaptive Sport Seat backrests, a painted rear center console, Porsche-crested headrests, deviated carpets, illuminated carbon fiber door sills, leather sun visors, 19” Carrera Sport wheels, Sport Chrono Package Plus, the Bose High-End Sound Package, and more. Previously owned in California and New Mexico, this 997 is now being offered for auction out of Utah with approximately 29k miles showing on the odometer.
The exterior is finished in Slate Grey Metallic with a grey convertible top. Equipment includes bi-xenon headlamps, fog lights, optional self-dimming mirrors, Exclusive stainless-steel exhaust pipes, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and 19” Carrera Sport wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps. The car rides on Michelin Pilot Sport tires from 2022 with approximately 7k miles driven since installation. The seller states the front bumper was refinished for cosmetic purposes and a full paint correction was performed in preparation for sale. Some fading is noted on the convertible soft top. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with red Leather to Sample upholstery and deviated grey carpeting complemented by an optional Slate Grey Metallic painted center console, dashboard trim, and Adaptive Sport Seat Backrests. Accessories include a red leather three-spoke steering wheel, illuminated door sills guards in carbon fiber, Porsche crested headrests, leather sun visors, heated front seats, a Sport Chrono dashboard stopwatch, automatic climate control, cruise control, Bose High-End Sound Package, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation. A small scuff is noted on the center console near the seatbelt receiver.
Rated at 355 HP and 295 lb.-ft of torque, the naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels. Routine maintenance is said to have been kept up to date and the CARFAX report shows a service completed at Porsche Salt Lake City in November 2023.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a tire inflator, a car cover, a Porsche sunshade, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for visiting the auction for this uniquely spec'd Carrera S Cabriolet. When I first saw this vehicle, I knew I had to purchase it and represent it under our brand. Unique specs are what set Porsches apart and very few have sold on the market over the last few years with this interior. It was a well-kept car and was an absolute joy to drive. Happy to answer any questions you may have.”

All, Welcome to the final few hours of the auction. I will be monitoring comments closely and will respond promptly. Happy Bidding!
@jbarardo update, I convinced my shop to shoe horn me in. I should have results in roughly 2 hours.
@jbarardo we did not have a bore scope done on the vehicle. I attempted to have it done yesterday but the shop isn’t able to fit it in before auction close. With such low miles and no revs in ranges 5 or 6 I don’t think it’s something to worry about.
Was bore scoping through the sump done when you completed the inspection? I've been reading a bit about this issue with M96 and M97 engines.

Thanks for uploading DME. 1082 operating hours and 29k miles. 26mph average, right? Seems logical.

@tehan2 Well for what its worth, I have uploaded the screen grabs from our internal courtesy inspection we did prior to purchasing the car. We took care of both the brake fluid flush and cabin air filter in preparation for the sale.

Is it weird to ask the seller to do a PPI on a vehicle they're selling? Being a local, if I was buying a P-car from anyone in the area, I'd reach out to Morris for the PPI.
@DrGPCR will get on that monday.
Can you post a DME report?
