Finished in Speed Yellow over Black upholstery, this 2006 Porsche 997 Carrera S Cabriolet pairs a 6-speed manual transmission with its 3.8-liter flat-six. It was configured with an optional Short Shifter, leather Sport Seats, the Sport Chrono Package Plus, and the Bose High-End Sound System. Modified with Speed Yellow painted seatbacks, 19” Vorsteiner wheels, and more, this Carrera S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York with less than 26k miles showing on the odometer.
This 997 comes finished in Speed Yellow and features red brake calipers and quad exhaust outlets as an "S" model. It rides on aftermarket 19” Vorsteiner wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires with ample treat reported. Modifications include black rear fender stone guards, a black rear model designation, and black exhaust outlets. The seller notes the windshield has been replaced due to a crack. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report noting damage in November 2019.
Inside, the driver is situated within a black interior featuring optional leather Sport Seats. Other options include Black floor mats with Porsche lettering, Sport Shifter, the Bose High-End Sound Package, and the Sport Chrono Package Plus which adds a stopwatch dial atop the dashboard. Custom appointments include Speed Yellow painted seatbacks, gauge cluster bezels, and dashboard trim pieces. The seller notes some wear on the seats and shifter and minor marks on the seatbacks. All gauges and accessories are confirmed to be in proper working order.
A naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine produces up to 355 HP and 295 lb.-ft of torque which is sent to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. The optional Sport Chrono Package Plus includes a Sport mode button for the drivetrain as well as adjustable stiffness settings for Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in less than 5 seconds while stopping power is derived from fixed 4-piston brakes paired with 330mm cross-drilled discs at each corner. The seller adds that the suspension was previously lowered, and stock springs were installed upon their acquisition. Additionally, one hydraulic convertible piston was replaced in 2024 due to a minor leak. The CARFAX report shows a total of 15 service history entries.
This sale will include a clean title, the owner’s manuals, and a car cover.
The seller would like you to know: “I love this car. It's gorgeous, really pops on a sunny day, and always brings smiles to people’s faces. My kids love going for rides and going to sporting events in this car. People stop me all the time to ask me about it. It turns a lot of heads. But I have a 3rd kid now and need something that could accommodate all 5 of us.”

@Abed Cold start just posted.
I chose to revert the car to stock springs because the ride was too harsh and not enjoyable.
A new video has been added to the listing gallery.
DME ran today and posted
Cold Start video to come shortly.
Thank You
Additional content has been added to the gallery for this listing.
Would the seller be kind enough to post a cold start
Why did the seller choose to revert back to OEM suspension after the car was lowered
Thanks

A DME report is important to have on a manual shift car. Can you get one before the end of the auction?
@Trium4Ant I am available Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning if you are available.
@rbrunson Unfortunately, I am away for work for the next few days and wouldn't be able to get a PPI done before the auction ends. I could post an updated cold start video when I return home, otherwise I do have a cold start from 2 years ago when I took delivery of the car if you are OK with that.
I purchased the car with the red calipers and am unaware if they were painted.
I do have some service records since I purchased the car and would be able to upload them once I return home.
I do not have the original shifter.
I do not have a DME report to add
Seller are you available to show the car in person tomorrow?
Can you add a cold start video?
Is there a local Porsche dealership that could do a PPI before the end of the auction?
were the brake calipers originally yellow?
Please also add a DME report.
Do you have any of the service records to include with the sale?
Will you include the original shifter as part of the sale?

@Godocgo Unfortunately I don’t know the details or have pictures but I do know that at some point prior to my ownership the rear bumper was sprayed. Considering it looks nearly perfect, I assume it was minor or the rear bumper was replaced. Either way you can see from the under carriage pictures there’s no damage in the rear of the vehicle
Any idea what the damage was listed on the carfax?
Thanks
Hi Everyone, I’m here to answer any questions you may have.
Car is absolutely beautiful in person. The color really pops, even parked in my garage.
I’ve owned the car for nearly 2 years now and have put north of 3,000 miles in it. It drives, sounds, shifts, stops and looks fantastic.
Just to clarify some of the description, I did purchase the vehicle with lowering springs and I swapped those out for brand new stock springs so the car sits and rides as intended by the factory.
I also put in a short shifter with numeric cables which really has enhanced the driving and shifting experience and just recently replaced one of the power top pistons because of a small leak. Goes up and down with ease now.
Happy bidding and GLWTA!
