Finished in Carrara White, this 2006 Porsche 997 Carrera S Coupe showcases a factory Aerokit exterior package, 6-speed manual transmission, Sport Chrono Package Plus, painted hardback Sport Seats, the Carbon Package, Bose Surround Sound System, and much more. A lifelong California car, this C2S is now being offered for auction showing approximately 36k miles on the odometer.
This 997 is finished in Carrara White (B9A) and features the factory-exclusive Aerokit (XAA) which adds a GT3-style front bumper and rear spoiler. Other options include painted headlight cleaner covers and 5mm wheel spacers. A set of black-finished BBS CH-R wheels have been fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires approximately 3k miles ago. The seller adds that the factory-optioned Carrera S wheels in Black will accompany the sale and the vehicle has attended two Hooked on Driving (HOD) high-performance driving experience (HPDE) days. Slight signs of road wear are noted along with scrapes toward the bottom of the front spoiler. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the black leather interior highlights optional Sport Seats with painted backrests, the Carbon Package, a 3-spoke leather steering wheel, a Porsche-crested storage bin lid, a carbon rear center console, and a Sport Shifter. The Bose High-End Sound Package, Navigation for PCM, a fire extinguisher, and front floor mats with Porsche lettering were also selected as factory options. The seller notes some wear on the driver’s side door sill.
This 997 carries a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine which is rated at 355 HP stock. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a desirable 6-speed manual transmission. Optional performance features include the Sport Exhaust System and Sport Chrono Package Plus adds a functional stopwatch to the center dashboard along with additional performance settings to choose from. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in as little as 4.5 seconds with a top speed of over 180 MPH. The CARFAX report shows a total of 20 service history records since the initial delivery in 2006.
This sale will include a clean title and a set of factory Carrera S wheels.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for your interest in my auction. This is a very clean, well-spec'd California car, which has been well maintained and always stored in a garage. The white/black color combination with the factory-installed Aerokit, the factory Carbon Package, and the Sport Exhaust System makes for a great looking, and a great sounding 911.”

@ADVer. Really like the car honest question I already paid for the rental a beach house in Clearwater Florida my brother and sister have rented houses too. I’m leaving tomorrow to drive 1000 miles to get there. Anyway if I’m the winner would you be able to hold the car for me for about a month? You can check me out I

@Wookiee Hi, the car has never been smoked in, and has no funny smells. The box is a K40 Calibre Radar and Laser unit. It’s fully functional, but relatively old technology. It looks like it’s held on by two small screws into the underside of the front bumper that, if removed, wouldn’t be noticeable. Thanks and good luck with bidding.
Nice looking car.
A couple questions, has car ever been smoked in, any funny smells?
What is the box under front bumper? Is it screwed in?

@dumpsterdiverf1 HI @dumpsterdiverf1, I looked through the service records provided by the previous owner, but the 6/15/10 invoice is not part of them. You can see the drivers door sill in picture #92, but I will post another picture closer up. And yes, I think your read on the timing lines up correctly. Thanks for the note, and good luck with the bidding!

@ADVer Beautiful car. A few questions. I know it's from a prior owner, but do you happen to have service records from the 6/15/10 service at Porsche SD? Could you post a closer photo of the condition of the driver's sill? If I'm reading the DME report correctly, looks like the Range 3 ignitions were about 50 hours ago; would that have been at your HPDE events? Thanks, and GLWA!

Potential bidders, please note: I will be unavailable (offline) over the weekend, but will be back online first thing Monday morning to answer any questions that you may have. Thank you for your patience.
Never mind DME report is in the picture gallery!
Is there a DME report?

Hello interested parties and potential bidders. I thought I’d just check in to let you know that I am available to answer any questions about my listing, and add a few comments. Since owning my first 1977 911S back in the early 80’s until now I have had the good fortune to have driven many high performance sports cars and exotics. But this particular Carrera S that I am auctioning is my favorite, and it has never left me wanting more. I think it is the perfect spec in looks, sound, and performance. Just enough performance for spirited drives, but not too much that it gets you in trouble. And practical enough to drive just about anywhere. Add to that, every time I park it somewhere and walk away, I look over my shoulder at it at least twice, if not three times, because (in my opinion) it looks good just sitting there. And that, according to my son, is a good indicator that you made the right purchase. I’m confident that whoever ends up as the next owner will feel the same way.
@shannonandrichardbel Hi @shannonandrichardbel, No, I’ve never had any reason to, as I have no concerns wrt the health of the motor.
Has the engine ever had a bore scope done to see if there is any scoring on the cylinders?
Bid in the amount of $43,250
@turbs2112 Hi @turbs2112, when I purchased the car nine years ago from the owner of a highly respected shop specializing in German cars (Bay Area Motor Works), it was explained to me that this engine has the larger bearing, with a likelihood of failure less than 1%, so I have never had any concerns with regard to IMS issues.
I read that some 2006 model years still have the serviceable IMS bearing. Does this one fall in that category?

What a nice car. Great spec for a S. If I had room for this beauty I would be chasing this car.
Best of luck with your auction. I'm certain there will be a very happy winner.
Really nice car
