Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over Black leather upholstery, this 2006 Porsche 997 Carrera S Coupe features a 6-speed manual transmission, the Sport Chrono Package Plus, Power Seat Package, Porsche-crested headrests, and Exclusive aluminum-look interior accents. Modifications consist of TechArt exterior components, a carbon fiber rear wing, a Tubi exhaust system, a cold-air induction kit, an ECU tune, TechArt lowering springs, a short shift kit, suspension tuning, and a premium Morel speaker system. Fortified with an IMS bearing replacement, this meticulously maintained and tastefully upgraded Carrera S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California showing approximately 43k miles on the odometer.
This Coupe is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with custom body-color and Guards Red accents. Aftermarket equipment includes a TechArt front spoiler, side skirts, and LED daytime running lights, along with custom front radiator cowlings, distinctive badging, Carrera S side scripts, a GT3 RS-style carbon fiber rear wing, and 19” 997 Turbo II wheels mounted with 7mm front and 15mm rear spacers. New Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires have been installed. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with Black standard leather and features the optional Aluminum-Look Switch Panel Package, along with Exclusive Aluminum-Look trim on the multifunction steering wheel, rear center console, and door finishers. Additional options include the Power Seat Package, Porsche-crested headrests, metal door sills with model designations, and the Sport Chrono Package Plus with a stopwatch dial atop the dashboard. Modifications consist of stainless steel and rubber-dotted pedal covers with PORSCHE script, a red Alcantara shift knob sourced from a 2007 GT3 RS 4.0, Carrera S script on the center console, custom Lloyd floor mats with red embroidery, and a custom rear speaker cabinet housing upgraded 8” speakers. A premium Pioneer audio system has also been installed, featuring CD playback, Apple-ready Bluetooth, a subwoofer, power amplifier, crossovers, and MOREL speakers in the front and doors. The seller notes the dashboard indicates a malfunction in the right turn signal, though the signal operates properly. The seller's preferred Porsche specialist and local Porsche dealer have been able to reset or disengage the code.
Factory-rated at 355 HP and 295 lb-ft of torque, the naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six delivers power to the rear wheels through a replacement 6-speed manual transmission. The seller states the IMS bearing has been replaced as a preventative measure and estimates an additional 30-35 HP gained through performance upgrades. Modifications include EVOMSit engine mapping and a V-Flow cold air induction unit, both installed by SharkWerks, along with a Tubi exhaust system, TechArt lowering springs, and rear toe and heel suspension adjustments to maintain optimal suspension geometry. A Porsche factory short shift unit has also been installed. The seller notes that the aftermarket V-Flow cold air induction unit must be swapped for the stock airbox to pass California smog inspection due to CARB regulations, despite the car passing emissions with the V-Flow installed. Additionally, a new air filter has been fitted in the EVOMS V-Flow cold air induction unit. Under current ownership, the vehicle has been maintained by a private Porsche specialist, with recent service including an oil and filter change, brake fluid flush, new cabin air filter, new serpentine belt, and a general inspection.
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a car cover, and a battery charger.
The seller would like you to know: “I purchased the car in January of 2011. I’ve primarily competed in Concours events with the car since then. As a result, it has always been kept and maintained in meticulous condition. When you win almost every event you enter, it has to be. I love the car and had no desire to sell it. However, my wife and I are moving to Mexico to retire for health reasons, and I can’t take my beautiful car to the 4-wheel-drive territory we’ll be living in. When I state that my car is a one-of-a-kind 2006 Carrera S, it has the pedigree to back it up. You will be the envy of every other 997 owner. Enjoy!!!!”

@Blubusdrvr Hello, and thanks for your questions. I have a complete set of new front radiator cowlings painted in dark grey
to match the grey in the Carrera Turbo II Wheels. The under side of the mirrors were custom painted so you would need to remove the underside parts and replace them or have them painted Arctic Silver. I have the original shift knob and boot. The red dive planes were glued on. They could be removed but you would probably need to touch up the underside paint. I would have to speak with my Paint and body specialist to confirm that with him. Once removed, the small side where each one was attached may only need to be polished and waxed. There are no holes or bolts used to attach the “FLICS or CANARDS!” The rest of the red emblems are stickers and can be removed. The small red “S” on the engine lid can be taken off and replaced with a new silver one. Of course, the entire OEM rear engine lid can replace the current one with the carbon fiber wing. I also have the original air box which I switch out to smog the car. Even though my car always passes the smog test with the V-Flow cold air induction system, it doesn’t have the “California Part Number” which is prohibitively expensive to register for. Hence, most aftermarket parts companies don’t do it. However, it’s extremely easy to do. It takes me all of 5 minutes to switch it out and it’s done! The TechArt daytime running lights were painted in original Arctic Silver silver to match the front grill and inset so they are flush mounted. I believe that takes care of everything on the car that’s painted in Guards Red. Thanks for your inquiry. In the end, depending on how much you want to do, the car can be replaced back to totally stock without the Lobster Claw Wheels, Radio and the Mufflers. Thanks again for your questions. If I forgot to address any of your inquires, please let me know. Thanks, Phil
Just to confirm, you have all the OE parts to replace all the red bits on the car? (Shifter boot, mirror caps, grill bits etc) Also, how are the dive planes attached? Can they be removed without leaving holes?
@MrGeorge Hello George, thanks for inquiring about the underside of the car. Currently, I have it parked at a private PORSCHE Storage Facility as we are preparing for a Garage Sale. I don’t have any pictures to show you at this time. However, I can describe it to you. I polished the Aluminum oil pan cover. I had the headers and all of the immediate area and other pipes painted in a clean looking Mat Black finish. There are very nice polished stainless steel TUBI EXHAUST MUFFLERS which extend and connect to the polished stainless steel exhaust tips via additional polished stainless steel pipes. As you probably know, most of the undersides of a 997 protects the undercarriage of the car with a thick, heavy duty neoprene plastic covering. Everything in the underside of the car is in order and as you would expect with no dents or other unexpected compromises to the covering!
Like the rest of the car, the underside of the engine compartment is much cleaner and presentable than most 997’s because I’ve degreased and cleaned the engine in that area. I can assure you that the underside is in complete order and presents very nicely upon inspection. Please ask me any additional questions if I have inadvertently left anything out. Thanks again, Phil
Sorry this is late but csn you post pictures of the underside of the car?
@MrGeorge Hello, and thanks for inquiring about the 2006, Carrera S. There is no after market paint protection on the car. When I was active in Concours events I would clay, polish and wax my car.
Is there paint protection film on the car?
Perfect case of buying the seller here!.. I know the owner and can attest to his attention to detail. This car is immaculate and fastidiously maintained.
Thanks for the quick response.
Hello to all prospective buyers. I wanted to make sure that all of you were properly informed to the fact that I still own and have all of the original parts to my car except the Mufflers, Radio and the 19” Lobster Claw Wheels!
@MrGeorge Hello, I also had a set of brand new Right and Left Front Radiator Cowlings plus the center piece painted in grey to match the wheels that have never been used. The are relatively easy to exchange. However, I had a professional paint and body shop do it where I have all of my cars worked on.
@MrGeorge Hello, thank you for your questions. To clarify, I never had the transmission replaced. I replaced the IMS Bearing as a precautionary service. I also replaced the clutch. I changed out the stock shifter with a PORSCHE Short Shift Kit. It just shortens the length of your shifting patterns through the gears! The front cowlings that are adjacent to the two radiators on the right and left front and the center piece in the middle can be removed and painted. This is what I had done and and then had them reinstalled. I have all of the original parts for the car, including the rear engine lid you inquired about. (Which works perfectly). The only original parts I no longer have are the radio, muffler and the 19” lobster wheels. Thank you

At what mileage was the transmission replaced? Is it easy to take the red things off of the front fenders and do you have the original engine lid or was the wing added to the original lid? Thanks.
