This 2006 Porsche 997 Carrera S Coupe wears a custom Porsche 956B Le Mans-inspired vinyl livery over Arctic Silver Metallic paint. Originally configured at an MSRP exceeding $107k, it came generously equipped with a Black full leather interior, a 6-speed manual transmission, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), Sport Chrono Package Plus, Sport Exhaust System, Adaptive Sport Seats, Porsche-crested headrests, Speed Yellow seatbelts, stainless-steel door sills, a Sport Shifter, and the Bose High-End Sound Package. The car was purchased by the seller in September 2022 and was subsequently modified with the exterior vinyl wrap, red taillights, a black billet aluminum gear knob, a Pioneer Bluetooth head unit, a backup camera, and black 19” wheels. It was also serviced with new shocks and struts, a new coolant expansion tank, fuel sender, and evaporative leak detection pump. Originally delivered at Porsche San Diego in California, this Carrera S is now being offered for auction out of Illinois with approximately 133k miles showing on the odometer.
The car’s Arctic Silver Metallic paint is overlaid by a custom vinyl livery inspired by the 1984 Le Mans-winning NewMan Joest Racing Porsche 956B. The underlying paint is said to be in good overall condition apart from some minor imperfections, including small scratches, dings, and stone chips on the hood. A scrape on the driver’s side rear bumper was repaired under the seller’s ownership, although the bumper is recommended to be fully refinished. Equipment includes bi-xenon headlights, a headlamp washer system, integrated fog lights, an electric sunroof, heated auto-dimming power mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, a speed-activated rear spoiler, quad exhaust tips, red taillight lenses, and yellow ceramic brake calipers. The car rides on aftermarket black-finished 19” wheels with new Kumho tires mounted within the last 2k miles. The original 19” Carrera S lobster claw wheels are also included in the sale with Pirelli tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery, along with a clean CARFAX report.
The Black full leather interior features optional Adaptive Sport Seats with Porsche-crested headrests, Speed Yellow seatbelts, a three-spoke leather steering wheel, an Alcantara headliner, stainless-steel door sills with model logos, and a Sport Shifter with an aftermarket billet aluminum gear knob. Other accessories include a Sport Chrono Dashboard stopwatch, automatic climate control, cruise control, the Bose High-End Sound Package, and an upgraded Pioneer Bluetooth head unit with an integrated backup camera. Some wear is noted on the driver’s seat bolster and passenger seat.
The naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 355 HP and 295 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The car is equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), optional Sport Chrono Package Plus, Sport Exhaust System, and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB). Service performed under the seller’s ownership included replacing the shocks and struts, coolant expansion tank, fuel sender, evaporative leak detection pump, and repair of vapor canister solenoid. The seller indicates there is currently a camshaft deviation that needs to be addressed.
This sale will include a clean title, the original black-painted 19” Carrera S wheels, original taillights, owner’s manuals, a car cover, a rear Carrera S logo, a Pioneer head unit remote, and two remote key fobs, one of which needs to be reprogrammed for the car.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for checking out my auction! Despite the livery, this car drives incredibly and remains virtually stock, with brand-new shocks, struts, and tires installed last year. The custom-designed wrap is a tribute to the 1984-85 Le Mans-winning Porsche 956B and never fails to turn heads. I've absolutely loved owning this car and have always kept it stored in a climate-controlled garage.”

Do you know the exact #'s or %'s of the deviation? Obvi the more off it gets the more urgent the fix.
The car has a known camshaft deviation, which has not affected its strong performance or drivability. It still runs and drives great, and I’ve enjoyed it without issue. That said, this is something to be aware of, as it may require attention in the future. The car has been very well cared for and remains a joy to drive.
Can you dive a little bit deeper into the Camshaft Deviation issue?
