Finished in Guards Red, this 2006 Porsche 997 Carrera S Coupe showcases a factory Aerokit exterior package, 6-speed manual transmission, Sport Chrono Package Plus and black-painted wheels as well as a black leather interior with Custom Tailoring. The car was sold to its original owner in Colorado and later moved to Utah where it was routinely serviced by its next two owners. This beautifully appointed Carrera S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York while showing approximately 23k miles on the odometer.
This 997 is finished in Guards Red and features the factory-exclusive Aerokit (XAA) which provides a GT3-style front bumper and rear spoiler. It rides on optional 19" Carrera S wheels in black with polished outer lips and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Other details include red brake calipers, quad exhaust outlets, and wheel center caps with colored Porsche crests. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, this 997 highlights exclusive metal door sill model insignias, an exclusive Sport Shifter, and heated power seats. Other amenities include self-dimming mirrors, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Bose High-End Sound Package, and Navigation for PCM. The car was also specified with Custom Tailoring which are special customer requests that require further communication with the Porsche factory.
A naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 355 HP and 295 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. The optional Sport Chrono Package Plus adds a functional stopwatch to the center dashboard along with additional performance settings for enthusiast drivers. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in as little as 4.5 seconds with a top speed of over 180 MPH.
This sale will include a clean title.

Sold for $70,000
The real question is regardless of miles and condition is the 997.1 power plant worth more than the current standing bid plus the juice.

How can there be a 9 minute gap between last two bids?

Keep in mind. Fully serviced. Original paint. New tires. You won’t find a better 997 aero kit out there and won’t have to do anything to this car other than drive it. Car is awesome. Good luck

Good luck bidding as we come down to the end of the auction - very hard to find a good solid 997 aero - this is def one of them.
@carterruss didn’t do one as we’re only asked on gt3 or turbos. This car was babied - owner we bought it from bought it from his friend - very well taken care of loved car- will not be any issues with a dme on this car.
Was there ever a DME report uploaded and I'm just missing it?

Beautiful car! This was my dream car for awhile. From my online research, the custom tailoring option is usually an accompanying option. It is basically a tell at a factory that the car needs to go to a different place during the line work. This is separate from the MY options. My hunch is that the door sills might be part of this but it can be a combo of things. Anyway, it just adds to the specialness and allure. Maybe you will find something a little different!

I have to say I have had 2 transactions with Ryan and they were both terrific. He is a real enthusiast and extremely knowledgeable. I am sure I will do business with him again in the future.
No Ims issues with this car. Later models don’t have that concern.
Will try and find out the custom tailoring options -

Is there any information regarding the IMS bearing? Oil samples? Retrofit?
Hmmm. Build sheet doesn’t say what ZO997 Custom Tailoring includes and all other options look like normally available options. I guess if dealer can’t figure out what it is no one can.
@MGDeuce their website just has the options list as was added to listing.

@groach try his website for additional optional details.
The listing mentions Custom Tailoring twice but does not say what they got with that. Interior looks standard to me…no extra leather, no painted trim, no carbon fiber…
@ryangfriedman can you elaborate?
RyanFriedman's dealer always has the best specs. Imagine how good this car would look on Sport Classic wheels!
