Finished in Basalt Black Metallic over a Sand Beige full leather interior, this 2006 Porsche 997 Carrera Cabriolet pairs an optional Tiptronic S transmission with its naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six. It was also configured with the Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package, Power Seat Package, heated front seats, a painted rear center console, the Bose High-End Sound Package, and more. Modified with sport-tuned exhaust, Fabspeed exhaust headers, and a Faaftech ShiftPower throttle response controller, this Carrera Cabriolet is now available for auction on behalf of the owner out of Illinois with less than 45k miles showing on the odometer.

This Carrera is finished in Basalt Black Metallic paint and features a black convertible soft top, as well as the optional Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package. It rides on 18” Carrera 5-spoke wheels with optional colored Porsche center crests and Bridgestone Potenza tires from 2016-2017. Minor imperfections are noted, and detailed images are provided in the gallery, along with a CARFAX report showing moderate damage in August 2024.

Inside, the Sand Beige full leather interior features an exclusively optioned body-colored rear center console and Porsche-crested headrests. Additional options include the Power Seat Package, front seat heating, self-dimming mirrors, the Bose High-End Sound Package, navigation for Porsche Communication Management (PCM), and Black floor mats with Porsche lettering. Standard amenities consist of automatic climate control and cruise control.

A naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine generates a factory-rated 325 HP and 273 lb-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission. Modifications include a sport-tuned exhaust, Fabspeed exhaust headers, and a Faaftech ShiftPower throttle response controller. The seller adds that the Motor mounts, as well as engine and transmission fluids, were changed approximately 1,000 miles ago.

This sale will include a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “We are proud to present this 2006 997 Cab. I am representing the seller, who is a friend and client. I have personally driven this car and taken all the photos and videos in the library. This car drives and runs great without any issues during the time I had it. The all-leather interior is stunning and represents a significant improvement over the stock 997 interiors of this era. The top goes up and down without issue, as covered in the video. The exhaust is throaty under acceleration and does not drone at highway speeds. Overall, this is a great car, and I am available to answer any questions during the auction.”

@pumpe car looks really nice and clean and the mileage is low. It’s worth a lot more than it ended up with.

You are a private party representing a "client" friend so we are holding you to your answers. Where are the repair receipts from front end and quarter panel damage, especially isnce done late alst year - 2024 accident (I presume). Definitely classifies as moderate. Car would not have ben drivable. What else is problematic with the car? Why is your "client" selling? Is it currently licensed and registered and fixed to OEM in Illinois? Time is ticking away ...

    Hi,
2 pictures show serious damage to the front left of the car that requires professionell repair to restore proper alignment. You stated the repair was to OEM spec. I might have missed, but is there an invoice for the damage repair?
    Thank you!

Good morning, everyone! A little more than a day left on this auction. It crossed my mind that some of you may be hesitant to buy a car with a Tiptronic transmission. Here is a link to a video from a Tiptronic owner that speaks to the virtues of the Tip in real-world driving: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEfz3acwIBs

Good morning, everyone. I wanted to take a minute and highlight a few options on this 2006 Porsche 997 that I think are worth mentioning:
    - Full leather interior with 'deviated' stitching. This is the first 997 that I have seen with a full leather interior. It elevates the interior quality to a new level. I previously owned a 2007 997, and this interior upgrade makes a huge difference. Check the interior detail photos to the right to see the quality of this work.
    - Fabspeed exhaust headers. These headers along with the sports exhaust modification create a throaty roar under hard acceleration, but is tame and quiet in normal driving. Really great.
    - Fafftech Throttle Response Controller. This controller allows the driver to adjust the throttle responsiveness from cruising to performance. It alters the behavior of the 5-speed and enhances its sportiness.
    - Bose audio upgrade. Makes a difference in the quality of the sound system. Great for cruising with the top down.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions!

Good morning, everyone. Auction Route is presenting this 997 on behalf of a friend and client who also owns a successful motorcycle shop in the area. Regarding the car, I have personally driven it and given it a full rundown over two days. It is in great shape and sounds wonderful under acceleration with the exhaust modification. Regarding the CarFax report, I will be posting photos of the damage later this morning. I would not call it 'moderate', but I am sure it was listed as such due to the repair costs. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
