This example comes finished in Black and features the Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package. Custom green-painted brake calipers are set behind aftermarket 19” OZ Racing Ultraleggera wheels with spacers and Yokohama Advan Apex tires from 2019 and 2021. Under prior ownership, older paint protection film was removed, and a paint correction was carried out in May 2023, followed by a full Revivify 3-year self-healing ceramic coating to the body, windows, and wheels. The seller notes two rock chips on the front of the hood, along with a light 6” imperfection on the passenger’s side fender. The Stone Grey standard leather interior features matching floor mats, a sunroof, and heated front seats along with the Power Seat Package. Additional options include the Bose High-End Sound Package and self-dimming mirrors. A Kenwood head unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto was installed under prior ownership. The seller notes that an OEM replacement driver’s seat pad was recently fitted by Leather Menders in Austin, Texas.
The naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine produces up to 325 HP and drives the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Standard performance features include multi-piston brake calipers with cross-drilled and vented rotors, Porsche Stability Management (PSM), an automatic brake differential (ABD), and Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR). Maintenance under prior ownership included the installation of new coils and spark plugs, cabin and airbox filters, strut mounts, sway bar bushings, and motor mounts, along with an LN Engineering oil filter upgrade, a new battery, and a wheel alignment. Since the seller’s acquisition in October 2023, newly installed items include a Bilstein B16 coilover system, an OEM third radiator kit, a clutch kit, a flywheel, shifter cables, a water pump, a coolant reservoir, and an air oil separator. The seller confirms that all fluids and maintenance are up to date.

I have posted invoices for the coilovers, brake pads, and stainless-steel brake lines.
All of the other parts and fluids were purchased wholesale and installed by ASE Certified Master Technicians at commercial repair facilities (I work in the auto repair industry).

@landscapes there have been no modifications to the emissions system (50-state) and no tune; I have a very, very, high level of confidence that the car will pass California smog.

Yes sir, the Revivify ceramic coating is good for three years. It was renewed in May of 2024—I will check with the vendor if the warranty conveys to a new owner.
2. What oil weight do you prefer?
The current best practice is 5W/40. Driven's DT40's film strength is superior to Mobil1 0W/40's, which is important from a bore-score mitigation perspective. LN Engineering, FlatSix Innovations, and I believe Slakker, all recommend Driven DT40 for the M96/97 engine.
3. Is there much spacing between the gas and clutch pedal? I didn’t see a pic and I’ve got big wide feet.
Not sure if the following is usable information: the aftermarket sells extensions for the gas pedal to ease heal/toe rev-matching, which makes me think the gap between the go-stop pedals is good for wide feet...

@Mithril911 yes absolutely. I am prepared to house the car in my enclosed garage until the winner can get her—up to a month, if required. I can also meet the buyer at the airport (AUS). No issue at all.
@LONGRIDGEBUILDER I think that was road debris hitting the underside of the car. That noise definitely did not come from the suspension.
@dc087 I change the oil every 3K miles, approximately, and have never needed to top-up. It's probably using some, but I don't know how much because I don't measure the drained oil. I am a worry wart; however, consumption hasn't been a concern, hence the lack of data.
@dc087 after a rain I took the car to a self-service car wash to use their spot-free rinse. The wand/hose dragged against the passenger side fender just above the wheel well leaving a mark. That mark is visible in certain light but doesn't show in the pictures. I think it will buff out.
@Run_Amok still on the fence a bit so apologies but if I were to be the high bidder can you hold the car for a week or 2 if I wanted to fly-n-drive? Asking for my son 😜

@bavarian3 all MY06 - MY08 M96 engines have the improved, larger, single-row IMS bearing. It was not inspected due to the low failure rate and the fact that the engine case must be separated to replace the bearing.
I will check the date on the battery this evening.
The car was used to commute to/from work, which was a mix of residential, two-lane country roads, and a bit of interstate. All of the anti-bore score procedures were adhered to religiously.

When the clutch was done; how did the IMS look? Does this engine have the updated bearing? What’s the date on the battery? What sort of driving does the car see? (IE: short trips, highway, etc)?

Some of the fancy 997s (think GT3RS) had the "mustache" upper vent. The pedestrian cars equipped with the third radiator have a duct that expel air through the underbody. The OE third radiator kit comes with that duct.
Gorgeous car, I still miss my 05 C2S. One question tho -- I thought the factory 3rd radiator on these cars required a vent at the top of the bumper that I can't see in the pictures. Am I mis-remembering...?

@bavarian3 Being 55 years old, I told myself (and my wife) that this is the last car I will own, hence the "open checkbook" upgrades and maintenance. 45 days back I was offered a 2011 Carrera S at a price that I could not refuse. I do not have indoor parking for both cars, otherwise I would keep this one.

The car needs absolutely nothing in terms of repairs and / or maintenance. I had nothing planned after the brakes.

@Mithril911 Thank you! Yes, I would not hesitate to drive the car 3,000 miles at the drop of the proverbial hat. This was my daily, hence the attention to periodic maintenance and known failure points, even if there was no sign of impending doom.

I owned this car prior to Run_Amok. It was a fantastic car. He and I stayed in contact for an bit, and I can tell you he is meticulous with his cars. He often replaced things proactively as a preventative measure. Next buyer should be very happy. I almost feel like I should buy it back. :)
