This 2006 Porche 997 Carrera 4 Cabriolet comes finished in Seal Grey Metallic over Black leather upholstery and pairs a 6-speed manual transmission with its 3.6-liter flat-six. It was also configured with the Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package, the Power Seat Package, heated front seats, the Bose High-End Sound Package, and more. Showing less than 63k miles on the odometer, this 997 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Illinois.
Sporting wider fenders than a standard rear-wheel-drive Carrera, this Carrera 4 comes finished in Seal Grey Metallic with a black soft top and features the Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package. Equipment also includes integrated fog lights, a speed-activated rear spoiler, Porsche-branded brake calipers, and aftermarket Fabspeed quad exhaust tips with carbon finishers. The car rides on 18” Carrera III wheels with optional colored Porsche crests. A small clearcoat blemish is noted on the fender near the passenger’s side headlight, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The Black standard leather interior includes the optional Power Seat Package, heated front seats, the Bose High-End Sound Package, Black floor mats with Porsche lettering, and self-dimming mirrors. The seller adds that an aftermarket Pioneer head unit with wireless Bluetooth connectivity and Apple CarPlay has been installed. Some signs of wear as expected with age are noted.
A naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 325 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in approximately 5 seconds while stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes with ventilated, cross-drilled rotors at each corner. The seller reports the convertible top and struts were replaced under prior ownership, and an oil change was performed in April 2024.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Enjoyable car to own. Slick shifting manual transmission. Full Fabspeed exhaust transforms the car. Noticeable power increase from about 3k RPM. The sound at WOT is intoxicating. New owner is getting a gem.”

@Blazerman00 I held on to factory mufflers and cats if emissions are an issue you can pop them back on and take it back to stock
@Blazerman00 I don’t have the original radio as I purchased it with the aftermarket radio. I have the factory airbox and will leave it with the purchaser. No insight into CA emissions as I live in Illinois.

Thank you for answering. Also:
1 - do you have the original radio?
2 - do you have the original air box?
3 - do you know if fabspeed affects emissions? I’m in CA…
Good morning all. Thank you for viewing my auction. New brakes and full fabspeed exhaust installed in the last few months. Car looks, drives, and sounds amazing. New owner won’t be disappointed. I’ll be around to answer any last minute questions you may have. Good luck to all.
@Blazerman00 Thank you. It is an extremely nice vehicle for whoever wins. I won an auction for a 991.2 recently on this site so the 997 has to go. The top operates perfectly and the canvas is new as it was replaced recently by the previous owner. The fender was not resprayed. It’s a blemish about the size of a dime. No PPI or DME when I purchased it.
Hello, nice vehicle, I have a few questions:
1 - you purchased it 4 months ago, how come selling this quickly?
2 - is the top perfectly operational and are there any rips/cuts in the canvas material?
3 - the clear coat blemish - was that fender repainted/resprayed? What caused the issue?
4 - did you perform PPI or did you pull DME when this was purchased?
Thank you.

@Cjlindor No, definitely seeing what you’re seeing. Uploaded video did not catch the start. I’ll record another Sunday evening when I get home
@richrous02 I see a video of the car running (and separately the top/windows working), but not cold starting …am I looking at the wrong thing? 🤔
Proper cold start video uploaded. 14 degrees outside at time of filming
@Siberian24 Wheels are 18 inches in diameter. Printed incorrectly in the ad. Thank you for the information
The description of wheels wrong, they are 18" diameter, NOT 19" diameter. In addition, a Carrera 4, or a Carrera 4S requires the front wheel/tire diameter to be LARGER than the rear wheel/tire diameter for the AWD/4WD to work. The current tires of 235/40 front and 295/35 rear make the back wheel/tire diameter larger than the front diameter. This may/may-not cause unwanted results with AWD. ...Just information ....
Welcome to my auction. Will get a cold start and convertible top operation video up soon.
