Up for auction is this 2006 Porsche 997 Carrera 4 presented in Speed Yellow over a black leather interior.  Featuring a Fabspeed exhaust system and carbon fiber dual air intake as well as a full carbon fiber GT3 RS wing, this 2006 example has been generously equipped with custom upgrades and modifications.  Stated to be up-to-date on all scheduled service with a new clutch and reconditioned flywheel, this 6-speed Carrera 4 is now being offered for auction in excellent driving condition showing 52k miles on the odometer.

The distinctive Speed Yellow finish remains in great condition with paint protective film applied of the front hood, bumper and fenders.  A collection of detailed images is provided in the photo gallery.  Modifications include a professionally painted and installed full carbon fiber GT3 RS wing, upgraded LED taillights, a custom painted Porsche hood emblem, carbon fiber side mirrors and carbon fiber Fabspeed exhaust tips.  This 997 rides on aftermarket 19" HRE wheels which are finished in black and come wrapped in a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.  The seller confirms that the original decklid will be included in the sale.

Commanding an original sticker price of over $81k, this Carrera 4 is appointed with a black leather interior that features a factory Bose® High-End Sound Package along with a few custom details.  Other factory options include self-dimming mirrors, heated front seats and the Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package.  Custom features include a 997.2 GT3 RS Alcantara steering wheel with yellow deviated stitching, Speed Yellow seat belts, GT3 RS door pulls, a Turbo carbon fiber gear shifter and carbon fiber cup holders.  The seller notes that a check engine light is currently illuminated on account of the Fabspeed cat-less exhaust system; the light is stated to go off when the cats are reinstalled.  All gauges, electrical components and accessories are reported to be fully functional.

This Carrera 4 is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.6 L flat-six engine rated at 325 HP stock.  All four wheels are driven by way of a desirable 6-speed manual transmission.  An upgraded Fabspeed cat-less exhaust system has been installed along with a Fabspeed carbon fiber dual air intake making for an increase in power as well as enhanced sound.  At 48k miles the clutch was replaced, and the flywheel was refinished by the Porsche specialists at LMN Motors.  During this time the IMS was inspected and found to be in great shape.  This Carrera 4 is said to be up to date on all due maintenance with an oil and filter change carried out within the last 200 miles. The seller states that the OEM catalytic converters will be included in the sale.

The sale of this 997 will include one master key, original books, service records and a clean Carfax report. If you have been in search of an exciting Porsche 997, this tastefully upgraded 2006 Carrera 4 may be the one.

@911Girl66 nope, they are in near perfect condition.

  • 911Girl66 (registered bidder) 4 years, 6 monthsago

Are the buttons for the AC sticky, or show any signs of them starting to fade away? I've seen faded buttons on most 997.1's.

  • LopezB4985 (seller) 4 years, 6 monthsago

@Rms2130 there is a regular PPF to protect the car from rock ships and scratches on the front bumper, hood, and both front fenders

  • LopezB4985 (seller) 4 years, 6 monthsago

@Rms2130 never been on a dyno with it unfortunately, but my estimate is <350 HP.

  • Rms2130 4 years, 6 monthsago

Can you provide details on the paint protection? Expel? Any ceramic coating? Thanks

  • Rms2130 4 years, 6 monthsago

Any dyno data or estimate what hp this puts down with the mods?

  • LopezB4985 (seller) 4 years, 6 monthsago

I will have my phone right next to me for the next day to answer any questions you all may have during our remaining 24 hours of this auction. Good luck to everyone

@Nate57 just got off the phone with my tech at LMN motors who did the clutch work. He told me that they generally remove the grease seal when the flywheel is removed to allow for better oil flow; however, he doesn’t have anything noted on the invoice. So yes, more than likely it has been removed. Also, he mentioned that the 997 generation didn’t see many IMS failures, occasionally there would be a 997.1 S with ims failure though. If you have any more questions just let me know. Thanks

  • Nate57 (registered bidder) 4 years, 6 monthsago

Was the grease seal on the IMS bearing removed at the time of inspection?

  • LopezB4985 (seller) 4 years, 6 monthsago

@Rms2130 yeah of course, if you have any more question feel free to ask them and ill get back to you asap. Thanks.

  • Rms2130 4 years, 6 monthsago

@LopezB4985 euro plate makese sense- couldnt figure out why they were so far apart..Thx!

  • LopezB4985 (seller) 4 years, 6 monthsago

@Rms2130 the small holes on the front bumper are from a license plate being mounted to it. The old owner had european plates on the front, which is why the holes are so far apart. There is no touchup paint on it though.

  • LopezB4985 (seller) 4 years, 6 monthsago

@Rms2130 you can definitely put the cats back on if you would like, but you would need the fabspeed muffler bypass pipe (this would get rid of the check engine light from the o2 sensor). Or, we could work out a deal if you win the auction and i could give you the stock mufflers back so the exhaust system would go back to completely stock.

  • Rms2130 4 years, 6 monthsago

The small bolts I’m referring to are best seen on pic #12

  • Rms2130 4 years, 6 monthsago

Also what are the 2 small bolts in the front fascia? There looks to be touch up paint around them?
    Thx

  • Rms2130 4 years, 6 monthsago

Can cats be put back on the fabspeed exhaust so the check engine light stays off or does the whole exhaust have to be returned to stock to avoid the check engine light?

Bid in the amount of $24,000

  • LopezB4985 (seller) 4 years, 6 monthsago

@996fanfav unfortunately, I do not have a over-rev report; however, this car has been owned/driven by adults and hasn’t been abused. The previous owner was a collector, and I currently have 3 Porsche’s. I have only driven it a little over 2,000 miles since I purchased it, so no it hasn’t been daily driven (great weekend car though). And all OEM parts have original paint to the best of my knowledge, it has a very clean car fax report and hasn’t even been damaged or been in an accident. If you have any more questions feel free to ask and I’ll answer them to the best of my ability. Have a great day

  • 996fanfav (registered bidder) 4 years, 6 monthsago

    Over-rev report?
    Daily driven?
    All original paint?
