Representing the high-performance variant of BMW’s modern Mini lineup, this 2006 Mini Cooper S is powered by a supercharged 1.6-liter inline-four engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Finished in Dark Silver Metallic over a Black Leather and Tartan Red Cloth interior, it features a sunroof, a hood scoop, 17” BBS R90 two-piece wheels, heated front seats, a CD stereo, and more. Showing under 45k kilometers (~28k miles) on the odometer, this R53 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada.
The example is finished in Dark Silver Metallic and features Cooper S styling elements, including a hood scoop, chrome grille trim, and dual center-exit exhaust outlets. Additional equipment includes red-finished mirror caps, a sunroof, and 17” BBS R90 two-piece wheels wrapped in tires bearing 2019 date codes. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report noting damage in December 2009.
Inside, the cabin is trimmed in two-tone Black Leather and Tartan Red Cloth upholstery. A gray-painted dashboard fascia houses a centrally mounted speedometer, auxiliary gauges, and classic toggle switchgear. A leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames a column-mounted tachometer, and amenities include the Cold Weather Package with heated front seats and heated mirrors, automatic climate control, power windows and locks, and a folding rear seat. All gauges and electronics are reported to be in proper working order with no warning lights illuminated.
Power comes from a supercharged 1.6-liter inline-four engine, generating a factory-rated 163 HP and 155 lb-ft of torque. The front wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual transmission. Factory equipment includes Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), MacPherson strut front suspension, a multi-link rear suspension, and standard four-wheel disc brakes. Additionally, a JCW exhaust system was installed. The seller notes that all maintenance services are up to date.
This sale will include two keys, owner's manuals, and a Canadian registration.

Hope you get some interest. I have a 2008 R56 that a "mini porsche 912" It is light, quick, balanced, shifts great, and give you clear view. Plently of ways to mod it out on a budget. Of course you have to overlook the dash layout - but you don't drive this car to impress others. Cheers!
@PCARM4JHE Not much information on the 2009 damage but i uploaded the paint thickness readings if that helps.
The readings are between 4 and 5.5 mills all around the car except for the driver door and rear left quarter where readings are between 7 and 8.5 mills. A difference of 3 mills is consistent with a simple repaint but no putty etc...
Worth mentioning also that the first owner who was a lessee for 4 years (Lease start date 20 june 2006 as per carfax) was also the second owner after buying the car at the end of the 4 year lease (15 june 2010 as per carfax) at 14000kms/9000miles.
The accident happened during the lease period (March 2009) and the lessee still opted to buy the car at the end of the lease. A sign that it was a negligeable incident.

Can you provide any details about the 2009 damage?
Welcome to this 2006 MINI R53 auction.
This is a very nice example that is almost 20 years old but looks, runs and drives like a charm thanks to its low mileage and the regular maintenance that it had received throughout its life.
As auction proceeds, I will be posting:
1-Paint thickness readings
2-Driving (In car) and Drive-by videos
3-Underside pictures
4-Cold start video
Please reach out here or in private for questions and concerns.
Cheers to all and a happy 4th of July.
