Following a two-year hiatus, Lotus reintroduced the Exige at the 2004 Geneva Motorshow, reaffirming its race car-inspired ethos. Designed by the Lotus Design Team led by Russell Carr, the 2004 Exige showcased distinctive features such as the roof scoop, rear wing, and deep front splitter, alongside advanced aerodynamic and mechanical upgrades. Equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 1.8-liter inline-four engine, all packed into a 2000 lb. curb weight, the Exige achieved a 0-60 MPH acceleration in just 4.4 seconds in a test by Car and Driver. Finished in Solar Yellow over a black interior, this 2006 example is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Illinois with just under 7k miles on the odometer.
Compared to other Lotus models, the aerodynamically optimized Exige is distinguished by its precisely developed engine cover vents, side air intakes, and lightweight mesh grilles. This example is finished in Solar Yellow with black trim and 16”/17” seven-spoke forged alloy wheels wrapped in Yokohama Advan tires from 2023. Modifications include a carbon fiber front splitter, mirror housings, and a custom exhaust outlet integrated above the rear diffuser. The seller notes window tints have been applied along with paint protection on the front bumper and behind the rear wheels. A small paint imperfection on the driver's side front fender below the headlight is noted, detailed images and a clean CARFAX report are available in the gallery.
The driver-focused cabin features black leather upholstery, Exige-embroidered bucket seats, a three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an exposed lightweight aluminum structure. For the 2006 model year, an electronic throttle and revised pedal array were introduced. Amenities include air conditioning, power windows, push-button start, and an aftermarket Alpine head unit. The seller notes a smaller rearview mirror has been installed for improved front visibility, and the original mirror is included in the sale. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are confirmed to be in proper working order.
Mounted behind the driver is a 1.8-liter 16-valve DOHC Toyota inline-four engine with VVTL-I variable valve timing, delivering up to 190 HP and 138 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The Exige features a stiffer suspension system compared to the Elise, along with Bilstein gas dampers, Eibach coil springs, anti-roll bars, and AP Racing twin-piston calipers with ventilated and cross-drilled discs. The seller adds that an aftermarket exhaust system has been installed, and the original components will accompany the sale. No outstanding maintenance items have been reported.
This sale will include a clean title, the original rearview mirror, original exhaust components, and some documentation.
The seller would like you to know: “This is an excellent example of one of the most fun street and track cars ever.”

7,000 miles it is practically a new car. These are very realiable. I bought my Elise with 7,400 miles on it and it felt like it had never been used. Mine now has 43,000 and I've had it 15 years. They are absolutely wonderful cars and I think they are even better in NA form like this 2006 rather than supercharged. The ~200 HP is perfectly suited to the chassis and is plenty fun.
Was the oil line recall performed?

I've owned 2 of these. It's a glorified Toyota Celica engine. As long as there is some oil in it, it'll run for 200,000 miles.
@Montegue Sorry, previous owner did *NOT* supply us with service records.
@Montegue For privacy reasons, the previous owner did supply us with service records. After our dealership inspected the car, it had the original tires on it, so we installed new tires, and did an oil change. This can be seen on the above Carfax report.
How can we get access to the service records?

@Mdautos Exiges built in 2006 did not come factory supercharged.
Did the inter air cooler get moved or removed?
