Available for auction at no reserve is this 2006 Jaguar Super V8 Portfolio finished in Black Cherry over a Conker Brown leather interior. The Super V8 was Jaguar’s top-trim version of the XJ350 luxury sedan and had a limited production run of just 145 examples for the U.S. market at an original MSRP of over $115k. Riding on the long wheelbase version of the XJ350 platform, the Super V8 comes equipped as standard with nearly every available luxury option offered by Jaguar in 2006 along with the supercharged drivetrain from the high-performance XJR. This example is believed to have spent much of its life in California before moving to New York approximately three years ago upon the seller's acquisition. Features include a fixed rear center console with audio and climate controls, a 15-speaker Alpine stereo, a DVD player with headrest-mounted screens, full power-adjustable seating, and much more. This Jaguar is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York while showing just over 100k miles on the odometer.
For the 2006 model year, the XJ was updated with a revised grille and front fenders. This long-wheelbase example comes finished in the premium shade of Black Cherry and can be distinguished as a Super V8 by its chrome side mirrors and aluminum power vents on the front fenders. The seller reports minor swirl marks in the finish and notes the rear bumper was repainted during their ownership. Meter readings also suggest evidence of additional paintwork, detailed images can be found in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. This Super V8 rides on a set of OEM replacement 19″ alloy wheels finished in black and dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The original 20” aluminum wheels are said to accompany the sake, two of which have been repaired and have slow leaks.
The four-seat cabin is upholstered in Conker Brown leather with a suede-fabric headliner and satin-finished American Black Walnut veneers. Amenities include a fixed rear center console with audio and climate controls, rear picnic tables, multi-zone automatic climate control, a DVD player with headrest-mounted screens, heated and power-adjustable front and rear seats, a 15-speaker Alpine stereo with Bluetooth connectivity, and more. The cabin is said to remain nicely preserved overall aside from the sunroof cover which is missing its upholstery, and the front center console which may be broken. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are said to be functional, although the seller notes the digital odometer occasionally goes blank and that the TPMS light is present due to the replacement wheels.
Power comes from a supercharged 4.2-liter V8 engine which produced up to 400 HP when new. The rear wheels are driven by way of a ZF 6-speed automatic transmission with a J-gate shifter. The middle exhaust muffler has been replaced with a straight section of pipe giving the V8 a more aggressive tone. The CARFAX report includes 16 service history entries dating back as far as 2005, with the most recent maintenance in June of 2021. The seller notes that aside from routine oil and filter changes, the only items that have been necessary to address during their ownership have been thermostat and drive belt replacements.
This sale will include a clean title.

@Lyonsfin The steering wheel is heated at the cut outs near the 3 and 9 o’clock position and the top parts stay cool. I never used it much but when I did it got really hot on the third setting. It might take a bit for it to really warm up though from what I remember i’ve only used it a handful of times. As for the exhaust there is no cabin drone, it’s truly silent with all the windows up but you will hear the car if you push to high rpm. It’s loud, but not obnoxiously so. In my opinion and many others, it’s exactly how a jag should sound.
@louisj Thanks for quick reply. Id like to make sure the steering wheel is heated also? The car seems very quiet in video with the center muffler delete, is it terribly loud when accelerating (like an awful japanese tuner car) or is it just more throaty?

@Lyonsfin I have added pictures of the center console. The reason I say it might be broken is because the center console seems to be filled with wires and electronics and the clip to open it has unfortunately been missing since I bought the car. It looks fine when it’s normal position but as far as storage in there, there really isn’t any space at all. I have owned an xj previously and the center console was completely different and I honestly never knew if it was supposed to be this way. Apologies for any confusion there. As for the heated seats, yes all four seats are heated. As for the pedals they can’t be adjusted but the seat/steering wheel can, and they both have a lot of range to move to suit your driving position.

I am curious about the mentioned front console that "may be broken"? Also, I assume this car is fitted with a heated steering and adjustable pedals?

@rjaguar No leak in the air springs and the compressor is working perfectly. The car will naturally sink after parking I never noticed if it had sunk more over a few days of sitting though. I don’t believe the air springs need to be replaced at all they have never given me an issue.
And how is the air springs? Any leak , sink over night or after couple of days not driving it?
Thanks for the pics

@rjaguar I’ve just added pics of the sun roof cover, aside from that the headliner is perfect and not sagging at all. As for the issue with the dash cluster it’s not really common but sometimes it will go blank and come back later, right now it’s fine. there are no other faults besides the tire pressure light. Lastly, the transmission is great, the shifts are really smooth and I personally have grown to really love downshifting using the j gate shifter it’s very unique.

Can you post pics for the missing sunroof cover and any sign of sagging headliner, pics for the problem on the digital instrument cluster screen, any faults beside TPMS sensor light, how is the transmission shifting and any repair or maintenance been performed to it?
@okJaglover It should also be noted that aside from the many cosmetic and luxury items that exist in the portfolio compared even to the Vanden Plas, The Portfolio comes equipped with the xjr supercharged drivetrain pushing out close to 400 hp when new.
@okJaglover there are many things this car has that exist in no other jag model such as the lambs wool mats and the color of the wood grain on the interior.
What is the difference between the Portfolio and Vanden Plas?
@2ndeagle Yes, the OEM wheels are included with purchase.
I see them shown in the gallery.
Are the OEM wheels available/included?
