The Honda S2000 remains a sought-after vehicle for driving enthusiasts and is celebrated for its blend of performance, handling, and Honda’s engineering excellence. The second generation of Honda’s advanced S2000 series received major updates including new front and rear bumpers, carbon fiber gearbox synchronizers, re-tuned suspension, and a larger 2.2-liter engine paired with its 6-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential. This 2006 example is finished in Silverstone Metallic over a black leather interior. It features a black soft top, xenon headlights, 17” ten-spoke wheels, air conditioning, an aftermarket Sony head unit, and more. Showing approximately 78k miles on the odometer, this S2000 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Pennsylvania.
The S2000 showcases a sleek and aerodynamic design with its long hood and short rear deck. This example is finished in Silverstone Metallic and features a power-operated black soft top with a glass rear window. It includes xenon headlights, a black windshield surround, roll hoops, and oval-tipped exhaust outlets. It rides on factory silver-finished 17” ten-spoke wheels wrapped in Sumitomo HTR A/S tires with less than 2k miles. The seller notes that the vehicle carries 8 out of the 10 VINs, as the front bumper and left fender were replaced under previous ownership due to a garage incident in October 2022 involving a falling toolbox while the vehicle was parked. Additionally, the hood has minor rock chips and a few small touch-up blemishes on the body. The original soft top was professionally repaired due to a minor tear. The cabin features seats upholstered in black leather, complemented by matching door panels and carpets. As an AP2 model, it features an electronic throttle and traction control. Highlights include push-button ignition, aluminum accents, a leather-wrapped aluminum shift knob, and a digital instrument cluster displaying the speedometer, fuel gauge, and other essential readouts. It is also equipped with air conditioning, cruise control, a glove box, door pockets, and an aftermarket Sony single DIN head unit with replaced front speakers. All gauges and electronics are confirmed to be working properly, with no warning lights illuminated.
The second generation S2000 is equipped with the F22C1 DOHC inline 4-cylinder engine. An enlarged version of the original S2000’s F20C engine, the 2.2-liter F22C1 carried over V-TEC variable valve timing technology and offers an output of up to 240 HP and 162 lb.-ft of torque. The AP2 also received an updated 6-speed manual gearbox with modified gear ratios and upgraded carbon fiber synchronizer rings. Other features include a limited-slip differential, variable-assist rack and pinion steering, and four-wheel double-wishbone independent suspension. The S2000 boasts a near-perfect 50/50 weight distribution and a double-wishbone suspension at both the front and rear, contributing to precise handling and stability. The vehicle was serviced with new fluids, brake rotors, and pads approximately 1,500 miles ago.

The seller would like you to know: "This car belies its mileage. It really appears almost show car level but with 78k miles, you can drive it with no worries. The car has been owned by 'gentleman drivers', i.e., older guys who use the car primarily as fair-weather top-down weekenders. The car has been babied but driven and it shows. It would be a great platform to continue doing as previous owners including myself have done, which is drive it on beautiful Saturday or Sunday mornings, or upgrade to your heart's content given the eager chassis. The car is a fun little go-kart-style chassis. Fun to drive in the canyons. Probably the best shifter in the business. It has never been tracked but if inclined, can certainly serve as a platform as is well known with S2000. This also is not just an AP2 but arguably the most civilized model with traction control and electronic throttle. So you can add "auto blip" if your heel/toe is not up to snuff. Before 2006, you do not have this option. Don't forget that VTEC "kick" above 6000 RPM. This car has never been "chipped" but others have noted that you can do so and have VTEC torque kick in at lower RPM. I preferred to keep this car stock and bought it with a history of enthusiasts who were more caretakers of a very nice car. I kept it in the same condition and it's ready for the next caretaker.”

@bustosgroup I did not. It did not have the original radio when I purchased it. I just replaced the aftermarket one with a newer model.

@Colin_Len Hi Colin. I was asked a similar question and I see what you're saying. The Silverstone Metallic color is a very liquidy metallic and seems very susceptible to color changes in photos. I've seen it in photos of other Silverstone S2000 as well. Only the front bumper and driver panels were replaced with OEM parts to my knowledge. I've had it inspected by Young's in Cheltenham prior to purchase and confirmed all original. I am not aware of any paint blending or other paintwork.
Do you know how many panels were painted/blended when the damage repair was done? Is there any indication of any paint work prior to that? I'm not sure if it's just the photos or the nature of the silver paint but some of the images make it look like different panels are slightly different shades.

Welcome to the auction for this super clean AP2. Please let me know if you have any questions. I've been lucky enough to have several of my personal "dream cars" over the years and the s2k was always one of those. The nice thing is it's a Honda so super reliable and cheap to maintain. I've always been able to just start it right up, few min to warm up and go for a nice top down ride. This was my opportunity to have a driver quality classic and I've enjoyed it on PA backroads. You can tell the car has always been garage kept by myself and 2 previous owners when you see the condition. I'm going in a different direction for my next car so it's time to move on.
