We are pleased to offer this 2006 Ford S197 Mustang Shelby GT-H coupe finished in Black with Gold racing stripes over Dark Charcoal leather. Commemorating the 40th anniversary of the original 1966 GT350 Hertz “Rent-a-Racer" Mustang, the special edition Shelby GT-H was introduced in 2006 featuring a revised hood and grille, a Ford Racing 3.55 rear end, the Ford Racing Handling Pack (FR3), and upgraded Power Pack cold-air intake, exhaust, and engine management software. This 2006 example is said to have had only one owner after being acquired from Hertz in 2007 and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California showing just over 9,500 miles on the odometer.
This Mustang comes finished in Black with Gold stripes along the sides and top of the car. Hertz badges adorn the front fenders just above the Shelby GT-H script. Other details include a billet aluminum Shelby grille, decorative side scoops, a rear spoiler, dual exit exhaust, and a Shelby hood with functional hood pins. The 17″ Torq Thrust-style wheels come dressed in a set of Pirelli P Zero Nero tires. The front bumper cover was previously refinished to address some scuff marks and the seller states the car has been garage-kept throughout its life, additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is upholstered in Dark Charcoal leather with silver accent trim and chrome bezels around the gauges and air vents. The limited-edition Shelby GT-H comes with a serialized plaque on the center dashboard featuring Carroll Shelby's signature. Amenities include a power-operated driver’s seat, air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and door locks, and a Shaker 500 audio system with a six-disc in-dash CD changer. The seller describes the cabin to be in excellent condition and confirms all gauges and accessories to remain fully functional.
The 4.6L V8 comes factory equipped with the Ford Power Pack (FR1) which adds an additional 25 HP and 10 lb.-ft of torque using a 90mm cold air intake, specialized exhaust, and more aggressive tuning. A total output of up to 325 HP and 330 lb.-ft of torque is sent to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed automatic transmission, limited-slip differential, and Ford Racing 3.55:1 rear end. The Ford Shelby GT-H also features the Ford Racing Handling Pack (FR3) which includes specially tuned dampers, lowering springs, stiffer sway bars, and a front strut tower brace. The seller states that an oil service will be carried out prior to delivery for the next owner.
This sale will include a clean title. A modern tribute to an American muscle car icon, this special-edition Shelby GT-H offers an excellent collecting opportunity.

@JoeyBenz Unfortunately we do not have detailed records showing services during its previous ownership. The car lived in a collection in Los Angeles and spent a large majority of its time sitting on a battery tender. It has only traveled about 1000 miles since 2006. The car will receive a fresh service from us before delivery and we can arrange to have any open recalls addressed at the Ford dealership before the car ships/delivers.
