Launched as a modern homage to the original Le Mans-winning Ford GT40 race car in 2004, the first-generation Ford GT is regarded among the greatest analog supercars of all time, featuring a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. This 2006 example is one of 2,011 produced for the model year and is finished in Mark IV Red over Ebony leather upholstery. It was delivered new to Champion Ford of Alexandria, Kentucky, featuring all four factory options, including painted racing stripes, red brake calipers, lightweight forged aluminum BBS wheels, and a McIntosh sound system. Having spent its life cherished in private collections, this Ford GT is now being offered for auction out of Texas with under 700 miles showing on the odometer.
The Ford GT was designed by Camilo Pardo and modeled after the original Ford GT40. Constructed from aluminum body panels over an extruded-aluminum spaceframe chassis, it features a vented hood, side air intakes, a transparent engine cover, a rear diffuser, and dual center-mounted exhaust pipes. This example is one of 348 cars finished in Mark IV Red for the model year and features optional painted over-the-top racing stripes in white. Other equipment includes HID headlamps, fog lights, a forged aluminum capless fuel filler, optional red brake calipers, and optional 18”/19” BBS lightweight forged aluminum wheels. The seller adds that the car is preserved in excellent original condition with the factory tires still mounted. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Trimmed in Ebony leather upholstery, the cockpit features manually adjustable Sparco bucket seats with carbon fiber backings, GT40-style ventilation grommets, and harness passthroughs. Other accessories include a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, an aluminum center console with rotary climate controls, an aluminum shifter, remote keyless entry, pushbutton ignition, and an optional McIntosh CD stereo system.
Producing up to 550 HP and 500 lb-ft of torque, the aluminum 5.4-liter DOHC V8 engine features dry-sump lubrication and a Lysholm screw-type supercharger with an air-to-water intercooler. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Ricardo 6-speed manual transaxle and a helical limited-slip differential. Braking is handled by fixed four-piston monoblock calipers and cross-drilled discs at each corner. The seller indicates a service was completed on July 30th, 2025.
This sale will include the original window sticker, owner’s manuals, a tire inflator, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “I have owned countless GTs, and this car is crispy new.”
