One of the most renowned supercars of the 21st century, the Ford GT debuted in celebration of Ford’s 100th anniversary and pays tribute to the legendary Ford GT40 Mark II race car that dominated the 24 Hours of Le Mans during the late 1960s. One of only 292 examples finished in Mark II Black over an Ebony leather interior, this Ford GT comes optioned with lightweight forged aluminum wheels and a Mcintosh CD stereo with subwoofer. This 2006 example is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New Jersey showing just under 5k miles on the odometer.
The Ford GT is constructed of aluminum body panels over an extruded-aluminum space frame and includes a front splitter, a vented hood, a rear lip spoiler, side air intakes, a flat underbody, and a finned rear diffuser. Other exterior equipment consists of a dual center-exit exhaust system, HID headlamps, a forged aluminum fuel door, fog lights, power-adjustable mirrors, and solar-tinted glass. This example is finished in Mark II Black without the commonly-seen factory racing stripes. The optional 18”/19” lightweight forged aluminum wheels are mounted with Good Year Eagle tires. The seller adds that factory red-painted brake calipers have been fitted, a rear bumper delete has been carried out, yellow vinyl has been applied to the headlights, and paint protection film has been applied to the entire vehicle. The seller adds that the original grey-painted calipers and rear bumper will accompany the sale along with a new set of headlights. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin is trimmed in Ebony leather with manually adjustable Sparco bucket seats featuring carbon-fiber backings, harness pass-throughs, and GT40-style ventilation grommets. Other details include aluminum-rimmed GT40-style instrumentation, GT40-inspired dash-mounted toggle switches, a cast magnesium center console with rotary climate controls, an aluminum ball shifter, handbrake, and door sill finishers with Ford badges. The driver is provided with air conditioning, remote keyless entry, push-button ignition, and the optional McIntosh CD stereo which equips a subwoofer between the seats. The seller adds that a Ford Performance shorter gear shift lever has been installed and the original shifter will accompany the sale. Additionally, the door sills are covered in blue tape to prevent scratches and can be removed.
The mid-mounted 5.4-liter DOHC V8 engine is paired with a Lysholm screw-type supercharger for an output of up to 550 HP and 500 lb.-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a Ricardo 6-speed manual transaxle and a helical limited-slip differential. The Ford GT can reach 60 MPH in as little as 3.3 seconds with a top speed of over 200 MPH. The seller adds that a Ford Performance Sport Exhaust system and a Ford Performance supercharger pulley have been installed, and the original items will accompany the sale. The seller adds that there are no outstanding maintenance items at this time and the latest oil and filter and brake fluid flush have been carried out in May of 2022.
This sale will include a clean title, the original window sticker, the original bill of sale, and an extra set of new factory items including headlights, black seat inserts, and valve covers. This sale will also include the following original factory items including the Ford GT book, car cover, rear bumper, stock supercharger pully, and grey-painted brake calipers.

Ford's GT Paint & Option Matrix says 4,033 05/6 GTs were made. 529 in Mark II Black (13.1%). 317 Mark II Black with Side Stripes Only (7.9%). 88 in Mark II Black with Side Stripes Only and the Forged Upgrade Wheels (2.2%). 84 in Mark II Black with Side Stripes Only and the McIntosh Upgrade Radio (2.1%).
... and only 27 in Mark II Black with Side Stripes Only and the optional Grey Painted Calipers (0.7%).
And, with this specific combination of Color, Stripes, Calipers, Wheels and Radio, it's probably less, but I don't have that level of detail. And there are probably some no longer in existence since I think more people drove them back before prices started increasing significantly.
She's a rare beauty! Good luck, all! ? ?

@Hotwheels Hello and thanks for your questions. We did not do the rear bumper delete kit, but the previous owner was the owner of a Ford Dealership, and he told us it was a simple panel swap, and the hardware was behind the panel. Yes, all gauges work properly and can be seen in the driving video under operating conditions. Also, the gentlemen who owned it prior ordered factory Ford GT Calipers in red and swapped the original grey calipers that were new on the car. He gave us the grey ones in the factory boxes from the red ones. I unpacked them for the photo and that is how they were. I was a little surprised as well. I would guess, there was still a little fluid in them where the lines connect when they were packed back in the box, it probably seeped out over time. Since they are off the car, an easy thing to have refinished. I hope that helps.
Would it be very difficult to reinstall the rear bumper? Are all the rear bumper brackets and fasteners included? Do all the gauges work properly? In the photo of the brake calipers, is the paint bubbling on the inside of the calipers? Surprising that the brake fluid caused the paint to bubble, you would think that the paint used would be resistant to this.

Are the original door sills under the blue? Did you just cover them?
I see all the original parts come with the car such as headlights, exhaust, and bumper

@SofiaLeo thanks for the question. No it has not in either category. I have asked PCar to put the CARFAX up on the site for us as well.
Has your car ever been in any accidents or had any type of paint work? Thank you
