Introduced at the 2006 Detroit Auto Show as “a snake with an all-new skin”, this one-off Dodge Viper built by American Specialty Cars (ASC) in conjunction with McLaren Performance Technologies is now available for auction. Known as the ASC Diamondback Viper, it weighs 85 lbs. less than the standard Viper and sports a unique Artic White Pearl finish with Viper Blue and McLaren Orange accents, along with extensive carbon fiber trim. It comes equipped with a McLaren-tuned naturally-aspirated 8.3L V10 engine that produces 615 HP and features individual trumpeted air intakes and port throttles that are reminiscent of McLaren’s past Can-Am engines. With $750k invested in its development and a lifetime spent covered in a climate-controlled warehouse, this one-of-a-kind Viper is now being offered by its seller out of California showing under 100 miles on the odometer.
This ASC Diamondback Viper is finished in Artic Pearl White with Viper Blue and McLaren Orange accents. It rides on 19” custom-forged 3-piece wheels painted in Grey Mesh, has a custom stainless steel quad exhaust, and is lowered 1.25” compared to its contemporary. Standard exterior pieces are replaced with lightweight carbon fiber trim on the hood, roof, rear hatch, bumpers, and rocker panels. The hood features a cutout above the engine that provides space to expose the ten trumpeted air intakes with individual port throttles. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The black partial leather interior is accented by a carbon fiber center console and comes fitted with blue Willans 4-point racing harnesses. All electronics and accessories are said to be working properly.
This Viper comes equipped with a naturally-aspirated 8.3L V10 featuring individual trumpeted air intakes and port throttles for each cylinder, specially tuned by McLaren Performance Technologies to produce up to 615 HP. The rear wheels are driven via a 6-speed manual transmission and acceleration from 0-60 MPH is reached in an estimated 3.5 seconds.
This sale will include a clean title, toolkit, spare tire, air pump, car cover, owner’s manuals, and two sets of keys.

@guitarnyc no clue on the speedo maybe an underpaid mechanic or tech we had the same problem with mileage on a ford GT that's coming up in a few days online carfax showed 14000 then went to 40000 back to 14000 next visit same dealer all in 6 months time assure this car speedo is on point happy to let any professional exam speedo
@G2Viper carbon overlay i fading ??? its not auto zone carbon fiber no fading anywhere car has been covered in climate control all its life not a scratch on the car period.
my apologies, you're right :)
I called the owner....he's very forthcoming with all the info :)
@gblue If I'm spending 6 figures on a car then I sure am going to ask. You'd be an idiot not to scrutinize any details that looked slightly out of place. I also thought it might help any other serious bidders that are looking at all of the details but next time I'll inquire directly about questions I have.
@guitarnyc ....really???? I'm going to pretend you didn't ask the seller that question....
@Drivingonthezipper Any explanation for the discrepancy in the Carfax showing 83 miles in 2010 and 79 on the current odometer?
Hey Mark - would it be possible to come see the car in person?
Hello there. Other than the carbon overlay fading, are there any other issues with this gorgeous Viper? I love the unique build, and would be be a nice addition to the collection. Thank you
