Finished in Titanium Silver Metallic over black leather upholstery, this 2006 BMW Z4 M Roadster is one of only 3,042 examples produced for North America between 2006 and 2008. It features a 3.2-liter S54 inline-six engine, a 6-speed manual transmission, a limited-slip differential, xenon headlights, power-adjustable sport seats, automatic climate control, and 18” Style 224M wheels. Cared for by its original owner for about 16 years and purchased by the seller in 2023, this rare Z4 M Roadster is now being offered for auction out of New York with approximately 4k miles on the odometer.
Compared to a standard E85 Z4, the M Roadster version features a wider track, a more aggressive front bumper, a sculpted bonnet, and quad exhaust outlets. This example is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic (354) with a black soft top and silver 18” Style 224M alloy wheels. The car rides on 2021 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires measuring 225/45 in front and 255/40 at the rear. Other features include xenon headlamps with washers, rain-sensing wipers, front fender roundels, a rear antenna, dual roll hoops, and quad exhaust tips. The seller notes some scrape marks along the edge of the lower front spoiler and the power convertible top mechanism is inoperable. The black leather interior features power-adjustable sport bucket seats, a leather three-spoke multifunction M steering wheel, and wood trim decorating the center console and dashboard. Other accessories include M-branded door sill plates and instrument dials, an M-branded gear knob, body-colored inner door handles, automatic climate control, cruise control, a sport button, and a BMW Business CD stereo.
Borrowed from the E46 M3, the Z4 M is powered by a naturally aspirated 3.2-liter S54 inline-six engine with individual throttle bodies and double-VANOS variable valve timing. Up to 330 HP and 262 lb.-ft of torque is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The Z4 M shares its quick-ratio steering rack with the M3 CSL and derives stopping power from ventilated, cross-drilled brake rotors at each corner. The seller notes an oil change was performed in November 2023.

The seller would like you to know: "Throughout my life, I've owned many vehicles. I buy and sell cars frequently and quickly. The Z4M Roadster is the only car I've ever owned twice. I bought my first Z4M roadster in 2019 and modified it to do light autocross and track duty. It was a high-mileage example with a lot of potential. I ended up selling the car in 2022 and immediately regretted it. In 2023, I saw the opportunity to own this low mileage example listed and jumped on it. I can safely say, this example drives impecable when compared to the high mileage example I had owned before. The clutch catches low to the ground, the shifter notches into place, the suspension is solid, but not punishing. It is an incredible, time-capsule like example of a rare vehicle. Of the vehicles I've owned, the Z4M roadster offers easily the most smiles I've had in a car. Experiencing the high-reving S54 engine packaged in a lightweight, incredible little roadster is something to be savored for any car enthusiast. Of the 3,042 examples made in the North American market, this is likely one of the lower mileage examples you will come across. @lennon997 This is my third vehicle. I have a daily driver and a weekend/track car ontop of the Z4M roadster. I honestly just don't have time to drive it or give the car the attention it deserves. As far as the gap in service records, I would only assume it's due to the vehicle having very low mileage. I did not own the car during that timespan.
@jackal0506 I'm sorry, but at this point in the auction I would not be able to post that for you due to time restraints. But I assure you the top will open and close manually. The motor will latch the top to the windshield, and will also latch the top in the down position for security. It's actually very easy to do.

Hydraulic cylinder replacement for my 2003 911 Cab top was a little over $4000 last year in the Dallas area. They just get old and leak.
There are no service records for almost a 13 year gap? If you hold this in such high regard as a low mileage unicorn why moving on already?

@Firewood Thank you! I'm not sure what the exact issue is with the top. I haven't had it evaluated by a mechanic. My guess is that it has something to do with the hydraulic pressure in the system. When you press the button to move the top you can hear the motor still running, but the top hesitates and will not go up or down on its own. I've been operating the top manually and still have an excellent time zipping around with the car opened up!
@seller Very nice M Roadster! Any idea what the issue is with the power top? Have you tried swapping in a new or rebuilt top motor? Btw, is the top motor still in its orig location inside the left qtr panel? If so, suggest for next owner they move it to the back left of the trunk. Stays dry there. Any event, sweet car, very tempting!
