The E91 325xi Touring is the estate variant of the second-generation BMW 3 Series, which adds significant practicality and versatility to the lineup. This 2006 example comes finished in Deep Green Metallic over a Sand Beige Dakota leather interior and came equipped with a rare 6-speed manual transmission paired with the X-Drive all-wheel-drive system. Acquired by the seller in 2018, this 325xi has undergone some noteworthy recent service and is now being offered for auction out of New York showing approximately 108k miles on the odometer.

This 325xi is finished in Deep Green Metallic (A43) and features a power glass sunroof, integrated fog lights, polished window trim, a headlight washer system, a rear windscreen wiper, black roof rails, and twin exhaust outlets. The seller describes the condition as driver's quality and some imperfections are depicted throughout the exterior in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report. This E91 rides on upgraded 18” Style 285 wheels and the original set of 17" wheels are also said to accompany the sale.  The current set of wheels does not include tire pressure monitoring sensors and the TPMS warning light is present as a result.  Additionally, the seller adds that a full detail was carried out.

The cabin features power-adjustable seats trimmed in Sand Beige Montana leather along with matching door panels, carpets, and lower dashboard plastics. Poplar wood inlays line the doors, dash, and center console. Amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, a leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel, power accessories, and a BMW Business CD stereo linked to HiFi speakers. Some areas of wear and discoloration are present.

This 325xi is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.0L straight-six engine sending up to 215 HP to all four wheels through a desirable 6-speed manual transmission and BMW's X-Drive all-wheel-drive system. The seller reports routine oil and fluid changes have been carried out as well as the recent replacement of the A/C blower motor and rear driver-side window regulator.  There are no outstanding maintenance items reported at this time.

This sale will include a clean title. Sporty and versatile, this rarely seen 6-speed 325xi wagon could make for the perfect daily driver.

@Arffbubba I believe all no M e90's and variants use the n52 and the 06 uses VANOS and higher output ones like the 330 uses the three-stage variable length intake manifold and is a good upgrade to bring these to 330 HP level since basically same engine. No work was ever needed or suggested otherwise since its been running great. Thank you for your interest.

@Jdubbsvt85 Yes it is the Tire Pressure Monitor System. I never replaced the TPMS on the Style 162 wheels. Thank you for your interest.

  • Jdubbsvt85 (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

    Is it just the tpms?

@M3nthusiast Nice color combo. The 162's do look on the car. Wish it had sports package.... not a fan of non-sport seats and steering wheel. Yes a sports package touring with sport seats and steering wheel would have been top choice but sometimes the right combo of color and possibly lack of features makes some cars more enjoyable in this case the lack of BMW early iDrive.

Can you please share what service has been done under your ownership? Carfax doesn't show anything after 10/25/17. As described I have done mostly preventive maintenance, replaced brakes when first bought it back few years ago. Window regular and blower are among the latest repairs done just last year.

Which panels has 7-10mils of paint thickness? It's hard to tell from the pictures. I will have to check again with a borrowed paint meter.

In pic 50 and 51, the paint on the passenger door looks hazy. Is it the picture or is it the paint or it's just me? The car was sitting out for a while and received a wash before the photos and hasn't had any detail done for a while now. For example picture 37 shows a while smudge that runs down the rear drivers quarter and that has been addressed since photos are taken that came down from a slowly water leaked down from within the building that this car sat at. I am certain a detail or possibly something more aggressive like light wet sanding will bring out the shine. The only area that I notice bad clear is on the passenger mirror which the clear has started to come apart and should get either repainted or a simpler recleared.

Looks like the new owner will have to invest in new set of matching set. Front tires are Nexen and the the rear driver is MP A/S and rear pass is Bridgestone. What tires are on the 17's, and date code? The Style "162" came from another car that I had and sold with BBS a long time ago and it does have mismatching tires. I would definitely get a new set of tires just because those wheels were in my possession for far too many years. They do look great. The original wheels and tires does come with the sale but if it was me I would definitely keep the 162 as they just look proper.

and lastly, can you please verify if the rear hatch has the matching VIN sticker? Hard to see it with the plate holder. I will have to check it and post the vin later if I can get to the car early enough. Thank you for your interests and hope this may have answered some of your concerns.

@Mspohn Hello, sorry for the late reply and being the last hours of auction this doesn't facilitate your decision however I will say the car drives as amazing as it looks, there is no sign of rust in this car and I have replaced all necessary to keep it running in top shape. Thank you for your interest.

Nice car seller, can’t find mention of a vanos rebuild. Does this series engine still have it? BAT family, what say you?

I do have few questions if you could answer,

@nosubC2de - I am local and very interested! I have owned a couple of these so know them well. Is it possible to see the car in person? Thanks!

  • nosubC2de (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@the_illermiller The accident happened before my ownership and I had the car inspected before purchase by my mechanic. There is no damage to anything structural and if you look at the paint meter based on my understanding anything around 3-6mils is within the oem original paint thickness. The remaining numbers hover between 7 to 10mils which usually indicates a small addition of paint as when the car was sanded and repainted. No driveshaft repairs have been needed and the car runs smoother than practically any inline 6 I have had and have. These are far smoother than the later n54 twin turbo cars, ask me how I know. Not many 6 speeds around hovering 100k miles and these tourings with lower miles are going over $20k and more. Enjoy this one guilt free with some miles but not to the point where everything needs replacing. Thank you for you interest.

@Winnibago Thank you for pointing that out. I will ask Pcarmarket to update. The original wheels does come with the sale and it also comes with tires on them.

  • the_illermiller (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

2 questions: What was the extend of the damage from the crash in 2015 and repairs performed? Also, has there been any service/ replacement to the driveshaft? Thanks!

  • Winnibago 2 years, 10 monthsago

Great looking car, GLWS. FYI: If the 18” wheels are OEM, they’re BMW “style 162” that were commonly found on the 330 car from the same generation.
