Designed by Ian Callum and Henrik Fisker, the DB9’s aluminum and composite bodywork features Aston Martin’s traditional front grille, straked fender vents, and swan wing doors. This Volante model is finished in Jet Black with a matching power-retractable convertible roof that was replaced in 2022. Other equipment includes power-folding mirrors, dual polished exhaust tips, LED taillights, silver Aston Martin logo brake calipers, and chrome 19” ten-spoke alloy wheels. The car rides on Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires from 2019. The seller adds that the door struts were replaced in 2022, the exhaust tips were replaced in 2020, and some minor imperfections can be seen around the exterior. The cabin is appointed with Obsidian Black Bridge of Weir leather upholstery complemented by mahogany wood veneers on the center dashboard and upper door panels. The amplifiers and CD player are said to have been replaced in June 2024.
Rated at 450 HP and 420 lb.-ft of torque, the 5.9-liter DOHC V12 engine sends power to the rear wheels through a 6-speed ZF Touchtronic automatic transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The car features independent double-wishbone suspension, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), traction control, and four-wheel slotted and ventilated brake discs.
