This first-generation Porsche Cayenne S is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.5-liter V8 engine and comes finished in Dark Sea Blue over a Havanna and Sand Beige embossed leather interior. The car was ordered with optional 20” Cayenne Sport Design wheels as well as Soft Look Leather Seats, driver seat memory, a moonroof, and the Light Comfort Package. Driven approximately 211k miles, this Cayenne S is now being offered for auction at no reserve by its seller out of Florida.
This example is finished in the uncommon shade of Dark Sea Blue and is distinguishable as a Cayenne S from the base model by its larger brakes with red-painted calipers. It rides on optional 21” Cayenne Sport Design wheels and features aluminum-look roof rails. Various cosmetic imperfections are noted throughout the exterior and the CARFAX report shows moderate damage to have occurred in 2014. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with the CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with two-tone Havanna and Sand Beige embossed leather upholstery including optional Soft Look Leather Seats. Other accessories include a power moonroof, automatic climate control, driver seat memory, front and rear floor mats, the Light Comfort Package, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM). The seller notes the driver’s seat, steering wheel, and center console are worn, the window regulators are inoperable, the rear hatch does not stay up once opened, and all door lock actuators need to be replaced apart from the driver’s door. The odometer display screen is also broken; however, the seller was able to retrieve the mileage by using Porsche’s computer software.
Featuring dry-sump lubrication and variable valve timing, the naturally aspirated 4.5-liter V8 engine delivers up to 355 HP and 310 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels through a 6-speed automatic gearbox with a Tiptronic manual shifting mode. The seller recommends replacing the front control arms. The CARFAX report shows 9 service history records along with a manufacturer safety recall issued in August 2022.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This 2005 Cayenne S is a very strong running car in good mechanical condition. This is a great opportunity for someone that is willing to give the interior, suspension, and basic electronics (Door locks, windows, rear hatch, etc) some love. This car starts on a dime every time. It pulls very strongly and never has an issue with idle. The AC blows cold, the radio works, the sunroof is working perfectly, all lights work, etc. This is an ideal candidate for either an interior swap or a company/shop truck. Good luck!”

@britco4 I really don't know exactly what the damage was, but all four sides on Carfax could be water. With the interior in the shape that it is, it very well may have been the case. We have not driven the car more than 20 miles, so cant testify to the oil consumption. No PPI, but I personally drove the car and listed some things I noticed in my first comment. From what I could tell, all of the electronics work. Lights, turn signals, sun roof, seats, etc. Again, I think interior and some suspension work is what is needed for this one. Thanks!
What was the damage? Water? Carfax shows it was on all 4 sides? Oil usage? Any PPI info? Definitely a project. Anything else for full disclosure? GLWTA, Thanks. My whippets would love it for their beater.... but a few $k needed to make it use worthy perhaps.
Thank you for looking at our No Reserve auction on the 1st Gen Cayenne S. Here is a list of some of the things that work and don't. Feel free to ask any questions or ask for additional pictures.
THE GOOD
-AC works well and blows very cold. The AC controller is missing one button on the passenger side.
-Car starts on a dime and runs great. Very responsive and shifts smoothly through all gears.
-Radio works and sounds good but display is broken.
-Sunroof works well
-No rust!
THE BAD
-The interior need a lot of work.
-Needs a full brake job.
-Shifter selector is acting up sometimes when you put on pack and try to remove key. You just have to push forward on the shifter to engage the Parking gear. No issues on start up.
-Feels like it needs front control arms and possibly shocks.
-Needs 3 door lock actuators and 2 window regulators.
