Revered for its analog design and visceral driving dynamics, the Carrera GT is widely acclaimed as one of the greatest supercars ever made. Featuring a V10 engine carried over from an abandoned Le Mans prototype race car design, the Carrera GT first debuted as a concept car at the 2000 Paris Motor Show. Production then began in 2004 at Porsche’s Leipzig manufacturing facility and concluded in May 2006 after approximately 1,270 examples were built in total, of which only 644 were sold in the United States. This particular 2005 example (#825) is one of just 64 known to have been produced for North America in the shade of Seal Grey Metallic. It can further be distinguished by its Terracotta leather interior specified with full leather XT bucket seats. This uniquely appointed Carrera GT is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Ohio with just over 13k miles showing on the odometer.
The carbon fiber bodywork comes finished in the rare shade of Seal Grey Metallic, fitted to an advanced carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) monocoque chassis constructed by ATR Group of Italy. The styling of the Carrera GT is characterized by large air intakes, an electronically actuated rear spoiler, and a double-humped carbon-fiber engine cover with silver mesh grilles. Its distinctive design has influenced later Porsche models like the 987 and 997. Standard, yellow-finished carbon ceramic brakes are set beneath factory forged magnesium wheels are incredibly light and utilize race-derived center-locking hubs. Measuring 19” in front and 20” in the rear, these wheels come dressed in a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Clear paint protection film has been applied to the front end, and the seller notes minor signs of age on the headlights and rear diffuser. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Appointed in Terracotta leather with magnesium, carbon fiber, and aluminum trim, the cabin features full-leather racing-style XT bucket seats with carbon-Kevlar shells as well as a laminated beechwood shift knob paying homage to the historic Porsche 917 race car. Factory equipment includes air conditioning and a Porsche Online Pro CD radio. The three-spoke leather steering wheel sits ahead of a traditional Porsche instrument cluster housing a central 10k-RPM tachometer flanked by a 220 MPH speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, oil temperature, and oil pressure.
The high-revving 5.7L V10 engine features Nikasil-coated cylinders, forged titanium connecting rods, forged pistons, dry-sump lubrication, and dual overhead camshafts with variable intake timing. Over 600 HP is sent to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission with a special twin-plate Porsche Ceramic Composite Clutch (PCCC). The suspension includes unequal-length control arms with horizontally mounted pushrod-actuated shock absorbers and anti-roll bars. Stopping power is handled by Porsche’s Carbon fiber-reinforced Silicon Carbide (C/SiC) ceramic composite braking system with 15” SGL Carbon discs. Porsche claims an official 0-62 MPH acceleration time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 205 MPH, while independent studies have yielded higher results for both acceleration and top speed. The CARFAX report shows 3 service history entries.

@TECarWorks from research of it looks like DDE is a YouTuber who owns exotic vehicles.
What is DDE? High performance driving experience?
@F1racing well that explains the DME report too.
Zero original accessories/luggage/etc?
@inbcapital - that's crazy. @seller, what's going on in those photos? Photos 2, 75, and 76 show many tall buildings (like many more that exist in Cleveland - which seems to only have 3-4), whereas all the other images seem a bit more fitting of a rooftop car park in a suburb of Cleveland. What's the deal here?
Bid in the amount of $555,555
@ClayMan everything was removed from the car by previous ownership. Will have a service receipt from when they finish it this week.
Wait...what's up with the edited photos? Car is in identical position, but the background and the ground are very clearly edited. Referencing photos 75 and 76
Bid in the amount of $550,000
Former DDE car, must be a garage queen lol
Do you have any records or documentation from it being in Canada, such as the certification label, the previous registration, etc.
@mflanigan88 DME Report has been uploaded.

@mflanigan88 I am uploading the report here shortly. Thank you.
@JDCar599 we are uploading eveyrthing as fast as we can. The vehicle is currently finishing service work and will have receipt as soon as they provide it to us. The DME report is also being done. Pcarmarket wanted to post the vehicle ASAP while we were still waiting on the vehicle being done with service.
@Floormat, you would think the price would reflect the lack of records but I’m guessing the seller is not prepared for that. At best you can say they are being evasive, hoping somebody will bid all the money without any knowledge of the history…..they are a dealer and know full well that a car like this will require full disclosure, they have chosen to ignore those requests.
@F1racing we had no idea thank you for letting us know.
@Floormat yes this vehicle does!
@seller, does the car still have the aftermarket exhaust?
Can you provide a DME overrev report?
wait why no records?
@bobbysteels @slimeynutsuck997 It was auctioned off at RM Sothebys in Arizona. It was the DDE car but the green wrap had been removed and the video of the suspension failure taken down on youtube. They left up the one of the exhaust install: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRTzGv6LEl8
@bobbysteels, Given the BC registration and August Luxury Motor Car's (Kelowna BC dealer) affiliation with DDE, plus the mileage noted on the last DDE video (12,852 miles in a video from Sept 2022) about their Seal Grey CGT, it's hard to imagine that this isn't that car. @JDCar599, why a car of this value doesn't have a book of detailed records ready for review by a potential buyer is quite odd. Maybe opportunity here for a risk-tolerant buyer?
Can you provide pictures of the seat bottoms and detail of the lower areas of the car to see what road rash exists and describe any road rash it has?
is this the DDE car?
how come carfax doesn't list number of owners?

@mbno, I keep returning here hoping to see service records of a 19 year old car that I'm sure you are hoping will bid to over $1M......I think I am wasting my time. Clearly you don't have them or are choosing not to share them. Showing a photo of the car on a hoist is not going to cut it for most.
@slimeynutsuck997 from what I know this isn't that vehicle.
Given you are a dealer, will you accept Porsche 997 GT trades + cash for the difference between final bid?
Is this the famous YouTuber's previous car who made the video of it when the suspension failed? If so, do any of the aftermarket wheels, steering wheel, exhaust, or spoilers come with the car? Thanks.
Clutch reading image has been posted at 29.65. If measurement -a- is greater than 28mm, no further action is required. They will do oil change and brake flush as well.

I just uploaded photos from the dealership. They are wrapping it up with the clutch reading and oil change service. Will provide as soon as they are finished up. Very sorry for the delay.

@mbmo, a few days ago you were asked for service records and you responded that the car is currently being serviced. That is wonderful and looking forward to seeing those records but the car is almost 20 years old with 13K miles, surely it has been serviced over that period of time.....can you post those records please.
@momotime Same as Momotime.
is there a window sticker for the car?
I assume no luggage?
you mention rear diffusor and headlights issues. please photograph in detail
I am still waiting for service history posting, clutch measurement and statement of any paintwork
One of these was totaled yesterday in a wreck near Palo Alto. Silver of grey with Terracotta interior.
@Damaho912 both are incredible machines.... but I would have to agree with you!
@momotime absolutely we will it is just finishing up in service.
Please post copies of service records and current clutch reading. Also pls advise of any paintwork
Bid in the amount of $500,000
@Ponzzzz yes vehicle was serviced last year by Porsche North Olmsted and is currently in service as we speak at the same dealership.
Can you provide any of the service records?
Bid in the amount of $100,000
Oh my! If offered the keys of a Carrera GT or a Ford GT, the Carrara is my choice 100% of the time!
