Up for auction is this 2005 Porsche 987 Boxster finished in Carrara White over a Sand Beige interior. Marking the inaugural model year for the 987, this Boxster was ordered at an original sticker price of over $50k with options including automatic climate control, the Bose System, and a Tiptronic S automatic gearbox. Sold new in Florida before making its way to Texas in 2008, this Boxster was purchased by the seller in April of 2017 and has been driven very sparingly ever since. With a water pump replacement carried out in the last several weeks, this 987 is said to be in great running order and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas with approximately 91k miles showing on the odometer.
The Carrara White finish is said to be in very good overall condition with only minor road-going imperfections. This vehicle has been garage-kept by the current owner and detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX. The Metropol Blue cabriolet top is said to be working properly and the factory 17” Boxster wheels come dressed in Continental tires with date codes from 2015/2016.
The Sand Beige standard leather interior offers automatic climate control, self-dimming mirrors and rain sensor, the Bose System, and power accessories. All gauges and accessories are reported to be working properly and the cabin is said to be in good shape with some minor wear shown on the seats.
A mid-mounted 2.7 L flat-six engine generates 240 HP and 199 lb.-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels by way of a refined 5-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission. All available service history is shown on CARFAX and the seller reports that a new battery was installed within the last year as well as a new water pump installed in the last several weeks. There are no outstanding maintenance items reported and this 987 is said to be in strong driving condition for the next owner.
This sale will include a set of two keys, owner's books, and a clean title. Offering the excitement of a mid-engine flat-six Porsche coupled with the versatility of a Tiptronic automatic gearbox, this Boxster makes an excellent choice for any enthusiast in search of a daily-drivable sports car.

The car looks really nice. Please post a driving video. Should have asked earlier.
My word should have been “splitting” regarding the engine case
@richj Not a problem. Do you have records for the battery and water pump replacement? When was the last oil change?
@uscarrera Thank you for the ims information and comment on the car’s condition!
Base 2005 Boxster’s are one of the last years that the IMS can be replaced without spotting the case, pretty car.
Bid in the amount of $7,500

@ronS12 No hurricane damage.
@bmchan I have had it serviced twice under warranty and the did not indicate that it needed to be replaced.
@ronS12 No, the car has no hurricane damage.
@richj Thanks for the reply. The 986 and 987 models are susceptible to IMS failure and any buyer should budget a repair. Not something that a Carfax report would disclose. GLWTA.
@bmchan You will need to check the car fax. Records.
When I had the car serviced they did not mention that it needed to be replaced.
@ronS12 Im out of town until late Sunday. I’ll try to do a video Monday.
@ronS12 No
