Did jagtampa Joe Grimes win this auction
Sorry, this one looks like it only got to 996 money. Actually I've seen base 996 cars with these miles and bad carfax's sell for more money in the lanes at dealer auctions. Maybe that's the next stop for this car. Thanks for the interest and the bids.
This is a gorgeous example of a 997 and automatic! A daily/ my personal preference. It would have provided me peace of mind and confidence if a simple $500 to $750 depending where, BORE SCOPE have been completed. My humble opinion. Thanks
Less than an hour left! Hoping she finds a new home. I'm here for any last minute questions, but don't wait until the last minute to bid! Thanks
Bid in the amount of $27,911
@BR356 We have not had the car bore scoped. Thanks
Bid in the amount of $22,000
perhaps you missed my question about the bore scope? has it been done? looks at cold start that all is clear however. no smoke........good sign. Early 997's did have this scoring problems.
Bid in the amount of $17,500
Bid in the amount of $15,000
C'mon everyone- where are the bids? It's a daily driver and it's a PORSCHE. I'd buy it if I didn't already have one.....
I've submitted a cold start video to Pcar, it should be up soon. thanks
@Bob.Dietrich This car tilts and telescopes. thanks
The 996 series only had a telescoping steering wheel , and for someone tall like me, that makes it more awkward to get in and out. The 997 series introduced a steering wheel that tilts. This is an early 997. Does the steering wheel have a tilt feature?
Bid in the amount of $14,750
@Bob.Dietrich Open Trailer $700. Enclosed Trailer $1,100

@Bob.Dietrich Yes we can arrange the shipping. Please send me your zip code and I'll provide a quote. Yes the radio and CD player works. thanks
Will you ship to Massachusetts? Approximate cost?
Does the radio and CD player work?
@BR356 I don't have any information about the service completed at 5,823 miles. The engine was not replaced. The notes are referring to the Engine Control Module being replaced. Being that it was very early it could have been related to a recall. The only hard copy records I have are for the Suspension and Tires that were all recently done. I can also add there are no leaks on the car. It's a rainy day in Houston, I'll try and get a cold start video soon. Thanks
records 5823 miles show engine/powertrain/computer was removed and replaced. the notes are not clear on actual service detail. Do you have any of those records explaining what was the reason and the fix? Few visits to the Porsche dealership for service are provided in later years. Do you have records of Porsche dealer service ? Has it been bore scoped? A Cold start showing the exhaust would be helpful. Thanks
@Wildwilly22 regarding the IMS, all the euro mechanics I've dealt with for 20yrs have said that 997's very rarely ever needed an IMS replacement. Like 1 in a million. Secondly, what we've seen with the 996 cars where the issue is prevalent, they go out at low mileage. Techs have always told me if the car has high miles and you don't know if it's been done it has either been done or doesn't need one. It's safe to assume with the mileage on this car that it's not going to be an issue for the reasons stated above. thanks
has the IMS been done?
Welcome to the auction for the 911 S. I will do my best to answer any and all questions quickly. If anyone is in the Houston area and wishes to see the car in person I would be happy to show the car. Thanks
