Finished in Carmon Red Metallic over Graphite Grey full leather upholstery, this 2005 Porsche 996 Turbo Cabriolet pairs a desirable 6-speed manual transmission with its 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six. Configured at an MSRP of just over $164k, it features 18” GT3 wheels, stainless steel exhaust pipes, the Dark Wood Interior Package, a Dark Wood rear center console, additional Dark Wood interior appointments, and Custom Tailoring (special wishes that require further communication). This final-year 996 Turbo was initially delivered through Porsche’s Tourist Delivery Program and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Michigan with just under 42k miles showing on the odometer.
The 996 Turbo is differentiated from a contemporary 911 Carrera by its wider fenders, bumpers, rocker panel flares, integrated side air intakes, and speed-activated rear spoiler. This Cabriolet is finished in Carmon Red Metallic with a black soft top. Optional equipment includes exclusive stainless steel exhaust pipes and 18” GT3 wheels with colored Porsche center crests. The wheels have been powder-coated in black and wrapped in like-new tires from 2022, and the seller has identified a couple of minor paint imperfections on the car. A professional detail is said to have been performed in the spring of 2024, and additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin presents Graphite Grey full leather upholstery complemented by the optional Dark Wood Interior Package and a matching 3-spoke steering wheel, rear center console, and Dark Wood and Aluminum shifter and brake handles. Other options include Porsche-crested headrests, a Turbo-embossed storage compartment lid, metal door sills with model insignias, and Graphite Grey floor mats. Additional amenities include supple leather seats, front seat lumbar support, and front seat heating. The original head unit has also been replaced with a new Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) system.
Derived from the GT1 Le Mans car, this 996 Turbo is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine that produces up to 415 HP and 415 lb.-ft of torque stock. It has been upgraded with an aftermarket EVOMS air intake system for increased power and induction sound. A 6-speed manual transmission sends power to all four wheels and stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes and cross-drilled 330mm discs at each corner. The seller adds that a new clutch was installed within the last 3k miles, and all service items are up-to-date including an oil change and brake fluid flush performed in May at an authorized Porsche dealer.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This Carmon Red Metallic in a non-S Turbo is truly a rare find! This vehicle has had the best of care since new with only 41k+ miles. Delivered to original owner in Germany with photos of the original delivery! This vehicle is ready for a new home (drive it there!) as I just don't have time to enjoy it. The 996 Turbo is one of the most exhilarating vehicles to drive and I come home with a smile after each trip.”

Yes those are the only changes I made
@twe0726 - Was it just the radio and wheels that you made changes in an effort to revert the car closer to stock?

@twe0726 thank you!
I do not believe coolant lines have been pinned. I have owned the vehicle for almost 3 years and it had approximately 38k miles when I purchased. The convertible top is original and is in very good condition with no tears, cracks, or leaks
When did you purchase the vehicle? How many miles did it have when you purchased? How is the roof? Any tips or leaks?
@twe0726 - wondering if you know if the coolant lines been fixed, and if so – were they pinned or welded?
Many thx and GLWTA !

I apologize as I .was called out of town unexpectedly. I do not have a DME report to driving video. I can assure you the cold start has no smoke, the car drives great and everything on the vehicle functions as it should. A/C is cold, spoilers functions in both automatic and manual mode, power top works as it should, no warning lights on dash. This is a very nice car. The only cracking or checking of the wood is on the steering wheel. Not sure what you are seeing as “rust” on the wheels but there is certainly no rust and they were powder coated less than 2 years and about 1000 miles ago.
Any chance you have a current DME report available? Maybe one was performed during the service at Grand Rapids Porsche?
Also, is that rust or dirt on each of the inner rims?
Nice looking 911! Will you post a cold start and driving video?
Very nice turbo. Are there any signs of the wood delaminating

I am sorry I don’t know the answer. The tune was performed by prior ownership and I was told that it has 500 hp however I never confirmed this.
Since the car has a tune what is the max boost pressure. Beautiful color combo.

@Dibs12 I just had the vehicle in to Grand Rapids Porsche where oil was changed and a brake fluid flush was performed. I had them do a complete vehicle check and the only recommendation was new wiper blades! I have returned the vehicle to as close to original as possible by replacing after market stereo with Porsche PCCM, replaced after market wheels with GT -3 wheels which I had powder coated gloss black. The car does have the Evolution Motorsport tune. This car is ready for the next owner to enjoy the drive home!
Any history on spark plugs, brakes, and coolant lines. Also what aftermarket parts is this thing rocking?
