Produced solely for the 2005 model year, the 996 Turbo S features the X50 Turbo Powerkit and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB). One of 963 Turbo S Cabriolets built, this rare example is further distinguished by a desirable 6-speed manual transmission. Finished in Speed Yellow over Black full leather upholstery, this example was also optioned with 18” Sport Techno wheels, stainless steel exhaust pipes, heated front seats, supple leather, a thicker steering wheel, a body-color rear center console, a Porsche-crested storage bin lid, and Custom Tailoring. Showing just under 41k miles on the odometer, this Turbo S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas.
Sporting wide bodywork, the Turbo S differs from the standard 996 Turbo with silver badging on the rear decklid and yellow-painted calipers as part of its ceramic brake system. Finished in Speed Yellow with a black convertible top, this example features exclusively optioned stainless steel exhaust pipes and 18” Sport Techno wheels. Other equipment includes bi-xenon headlamps with integrated fog lights, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and added paint protection film along the front bumper, front half of the hood, headlights, and side mirror covers. The seller states that new tires have been fitted and notes minor paint imperfections. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report indicating damage in 2004.
The Black full leather interior is appointed with optional supple leather, heated front seats, a thicker steering wheel, a body-color rear center console, a Porsche-crested storage bin lid, and Black floor mats with Porsche lettering. Custom Tailoring options include deviated stitching along the seats, doors, and dashboard. Minimal wear is noted, although all gauges and accessories are confirmed to be in proper working order.
The Turbo S features the X50 Turbo Powerkit which equips its 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine with larger K24 turbochargers and intercoolers along with a revised ECU and exhaust system. Up to 450 HP is sent to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) come standard and include larger 6-piston monobloc front calipers and cross-drilled 350mm ceramic discs at the front and rear. No outstanding maintenance items have been reported, and the CARFAX report shows 10 service history entries.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This is a rare manual Speed Yellow Turbo S. Low miles, new tires, no issues!”
