Produced exclusively for the 2005 model year as a sendoff to the 996 generation, the Turbo S model comes standard with the X50 Turbo Powerkit and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB). This example is of 963 Turbo S Cabriolets produced in total and is among even fewer equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission. It comes finished in Slate Grey Metallic over a Graphite Grey full leather interior and is optioned with the Carbon Package, Parking Assist System, a Sport Shifter, Porsche-crested headrests, a three-spoke carbon fiber steering wheel, 18” Sport Techno wheels, deviated stitching and carpets, and Custom Tailoring. Purchased by the current owner over 8 years ago, this Turbo S Cabriolet is now being offered for auction out of Florida with approximately 35k miles on the odometer.
This 996 features Turbo-specific bodywork with wide fenders, side air intakes, and a speed-activated rear spoiler. It comes finished in Slate Grey Metallic with a black convertible roof and rides on optional 18” Sport Techno wheels. Other equipment includes bi-xenon headlamps with integrated fog lights, clear side marker lights, heated power mirrors, optional stainless-steel exhaust tips, and yellow Porsche-branded brake calipers. The seller states clear paint protection film is applied over the front end and the exterior underwent paint correction and ceramic coating about a year ago. The Michelin Pilot Sport tires are dated from 2020, and some paintwork is noted on the rear of the car. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing an accident in 2011.
Inside, this Turbo S features Graphite Grey full leather upholstery with optional carbon fiber trim, deviated stitching, and contrasting black carpets. Other accessories include a shifter and brake handle in carbon fiber and aluminum, heated supple leather seats with lumbar support and Porsche-crested headrests, a three-spoke steering wheel with carbon fiber trim, belt outlets and a rear center console in carbon fiber, a Turbo-logo storage compartment lid, the Parking Assist System, a Sport Shifter, aluminum-look instrument dials, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a central locking system, a Bose audio system, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation.
The Turbo S features the X50 Turbo Powerkit which equips its 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine with larger K24 turbochargers and intercoolers along with a revised ECU and exhaust system. Up to 450 HP is sent to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) come standard and include larger 6-piston monobloc front calipers and cross-drilled 350mm ceramic discs at the front and rear. The seller indicates an annual service and oil change were completed in preparation for sale.
This sale will include a spare tire, an air pump, a car cover, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “I have owned this car for eight years and enjoyed every minute of driving it. Unfortunately, I have a few air-cooled Porsches that I find myself driving more than the Turbo S. It’s time for someone else to enjoy this great car.”

@blackdogcars it was just the legal language from the mechanic that’s why I omitted it.
@Mchlizzo - Sharp 996! Too bad you weren't able to find those records prior to the auction conclusion. Are you able to upload pages 2,3 & 5 from the service last week please? Tks and good luck in final minutes.
@Fu-Schnickens I have not been able to locate the folder. I’m sure I’ll find it tomorrow after the auction is over. I just uploaded the last oil change and yearly inspection report.

@Mchlizzo Did you locate the folder with service records?
@Mchlizzo Good evening everyone. I just uploaded photos of the paint meter readings. The car is all original paint except for the rear bumper and they blended in the right rear quarter panel at the bottom. The hood and front fenders have PPF so the meter readings show 10 mil. The accident occurred in June of 2011 and you would never know it happened. That’s how good of a job they did. Hope this clears up all the questions regarding the carfax.

@Autotrend The rams go up and down automatically as designed.
@vonmec It was just the rear bumper. The accident shows 6/17/11 and serviced on 6/20/11
with the electric E-RAMS does the rear wing still go up and down automatically based on speed as porsche designed, or is it dependent on you flipping the switch to make it go up and down when you want?
What information can you share with us regarding the 6/17/2011 accident.

@Woodrm64 Never smoked in or tracked.
@Woodrm64 I brought it in for the annual service and made them check to make sure everything is functioning properly before it was listed.
Also, has this car been smoked in or “tracked”?
Is there anything that should work but does not?
Anything?
Also, I noticed a hard top deletion on the paperwork, so convertible top only, correct?
@R_wade In my ownership the only items I replaced were the 2 window regulators, the convertible top pistons and the rear spoiler rams. They were replaced with the electric Erams. The car has no leaks. Other than that it has been regular maintenance. The alternator was replaced a few years ago.
Any fluid leaks apparent? What items; radiators, suspension parts, water pump, transmission pressure reservoirs etc have been replaced?
Thank you
@oldsouth The coolant lines were never pinned. I’ll try to get the DME before the auction ends. Every once in a while I get a little piece of foam coming out. The whole front of the car has PPF.
I'll ask my standard questions. Have the coolant lines been pinned, DME report, any foam blowing out of the a/c vents, any PPF on the car?? Thanks, great looking car..

@Woodrm64 The car drives straight and perfect down the road.
@Woodrm64 I think it was just the rear bumper. There is no sign of any major damage. All the body panels are original. The carfax shows the accident on 6/17/11 and serviced on 6/20/11. So it had to be something minor. Pcar should have paint meter readings uploaded soon.

@Fu-Schnickens Yes I have been looking for the folder with the receipts for the car. I’ll get them up soon.
Or any hints of the accident from driving it or from paint or body work?
Do you have any insight to the accident from 2011, possibly from a prior owner?
@Mchlizzo You should post photos of service documentation. 8 years of ownership generates a lot of paperwork! (Ask me how I know! ;-))
@Fu-Schnickens It really does look great. Especially with the top down
The color selection on the interior and exterior of this car was expertly chosen. It's perfect.
