Produced for the 2005 model year only, the 996 Turbo S is one of the rarest water-cooled Porsches ever, with less than 1,000 Cabriolets produced worldwide. Each came equipped as standard with Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) and the exclusive X50 Power Kit. Finished in Back over matching full leather, this example features a Tiptronic S transmission, supple leather seats with lumbar support, and carbon/aluminum shift knob and brake accents. Modified with 19” Rennen Monolight wheels, Evolution MotorSports intercoolers and ECU upgrade, an AWE Tuning exhaust, and more, this Turbo S is now being offered for auction out of Washington with less than 23k miles showing on the odometer.
The Turbo S is distinguished from the standard 996 Turbo by silver badging on the rear decklid and yellow-painted calipers as part of its ceramic brake system. This example comes finished in Black with a matching convertible soft top. Modifications include tinted taillights, clear side markers, H&R coilovers, and 19” Rennen Monolight wheels mounted with new tires in April 2024. There are minor signs of road wear on the front end, along with a crack and scratch near the brake light. Detailed images are provided in the gallery, along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is trimmed in Black full leather with optional supple leather seats, Porsche-crested headrests, and front seat heating & lumbar support. Additional options include carbon & aluminum accents for the Tiptronic knob & brake lever, along with Porsche-branded floor mats. Minor creasing on the front seat bolsters, wear on the rear passenger interior panels, and scratches on the driver's door interior panel are noted.
Power is provided by a 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged Mezger engine generating 444 HP, an increase of 25 HP over the standard 996 Turbo, and 457 lb.-ft of torque stock. All four wheels are driven through a 5-speed Tiptronic S transmission. Modifications include an AWE Tuning exhaust system, an Evolution MotorSports ClubSport intercooler upgrade kit, and an Evolution Motorsports ECU upgrade. In April 2024, extensive maintenance was performed, including replacing the transmission fluid and filter, engine oil and filter, and brake fluid. At the time, the spark plugs, serpentine belt, ignition coils, battery, upper rear control arms, cabin air filter, engine air filter, fuel filter, fuel pump, and fuel-sending unit were replaced, and the fuel was refilled with an additive.
This sale will include a clean title, two keys, service records, carpet floor mats, a wind deflector, a Valentine One radar detector, and a toolkit.

Four pages of service records, three of which are covered and unreadable. The one page that can be read shows car not driven regularly (bad fuel)(sediment in fas tank}. "Sale will include service records". What's this? We should see service records BEFORE the sale. Seller, please cut the hyperbole and give us some facts
This listing does not pass the "smell" test.s lot of fancy language only
Bid in the amount of $5,911

Yes
My car was on cars and bids, yes , the high bid was , sorry, ridiculous .
The car i am referring to sold on bring a trailer
For 55 k, that car as compared to mine
Was twice + the mileage and not remotely as well sorted out as mine is. Period.
Not to run on here, BUT, you want most assuredly one of the best 2005 turbo S out there its mine, period. Just to make absolutely sure everything was perfect, i took the car on a 100 mile journey ---- ahhh yes it was perfect.
Dont like putting extra miles on it but felt a road test would put to rest any fears
NOW you want the best ? You need to be reasonable .i am not after pie in the sky, reasonable is the key word here. Look at the comp thats a week old, compare, make an offer.
Trust me, i can certainly put it back to sleep if necessary
THANK YOU for your interest
Pat

Also see photo #61 when I operated the top and took a picture of it in the middle of operation. Also, photos #24, 26,27 shows the convertible top.
I did not get a chance to do a walkaround video or a video of the top operation, but I have seen the top operating and can confirm it works. I had to go to the detail shop to pick up the car and knock out the shoot in the evening so I wanted to get as much done as possible. The undercarriage photos were taken prior when the car was being serviced at Chris's German Auto, a very reputable shop near me. We have used them quite a lot in the past. (We meaning Authentic Motorcars and other clients.)
The car is beautiful. It smells like a Porsche, I don't think anyone will be disappointed with the car whatsoever upon purchasing it.
I would also direct you to Mr johnsons comments.
I met him
When i hired him no axe to grind here just am independent opinion of the car
Well, gosh, 188 pictures .the car is as new.
The direction to Chris German Auto Hass ( one of the top independent Porsche facilities on the West Coast ) mydirection was, Any system or part not at 90% or better, replace it . This was my third Porsche .Pretty much wonderful drives through the country side.
I truly believe a better one dose not exist.
Thank you for your interest
Pat
My pride and joy, Period.
Were you planning on posting walk around (inside and out) and a convertible top videos? Thank you for the cold start video.
Do my best to answer any questions thanks for your interest
Pat
I did the photos for the seller, the car is extremely nice. It drives, looks and smells like a pristine 996. The exhaust lets you hear the turbos but not overly loud at all. I first saw the car when it was up in the air at Chris's German Auto to do the undercarriage pictures. It then went to get detailed by my friends at Eastside Auto Salon, and that is where I took it to do photos locally. Buy with confidence!
