The Porsche 996 Turbo S was offered as the flagship 911 exclusively for the 2005 model year featuring the X50 Powerkit and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) as standard equipment. This example is one of 960 Cabriolet versions produced in total and comes finished in Atlas Grey Metallic over a Brown Natural Leather interior. It was factory-equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission, a Sport Shifter, stainless steel exhaust pipes, a painted center console, and special Toro’ embossed leather seats. The car has been upgraded with a Fabspeed performance air intake and benefits from a new set of tires, PCM control knobs, and a rebuilt convertible top hydraulic pump. Cared for by two previous owners in Pennsylvania, this Turbo S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida while showing just over 13k miles on the odometer.
The Turbo S is distinguished from the standard 996 Turbo by silver badging on the rear decklid and yellow-painted calipers as part of its ceramic brake system. This example comes finished in Atlas Grey Metallic with a black cabriolet roof and features optional stainless-steel exhaust pipes. It rides on 18” GT3 wheels dressed in new Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires. The car is described to be in excellent overall condition, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The premium Brown Natural Leather interior includes special Toro’ embossed leather seats, a Sport Shifter, and a rear center console painted to match the exterior. The Turbo S features aluminum-look instrument dials with a “Turbo S” logo tachometer as well as model logo door sills and a silver designation on the center console. Other features include dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, and a Bose sound system. The seller indicates the hood struts and PCM control knobs have been replaced and the convertible top pump has been rebuilt.
The Turbo S comes factory equipped with the X50 Powerkit which upgrades its 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine with larger K24 turbochargers and intercoolers along with a revised ECU and exhaust system. Up to 450 HP is sent to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. The Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) system includes larger 6-piston monobloc front calipers and cross-drilled 350mm ceramic discs at the front and rear. An upgraded Fabspeed cold air intake has been installed for increased power and induction sound. The CARFAX report shows a consistent maintenance history with 17 service records dating back to the original purchase. The seller adds that the clutch accumulator was replaced by the professionals at ParkHaus1 Performance & Parts.
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “The Cosmoline undercoating is still on the undercarriage, that is how lightly this car has been used. Still looks and smells new!! Paint meter readings available and undercarriage photos available.”

@lennon997 glad you had a chance to see in person!
@Fu-Schnickens my pleasure, just added another photo to the gallery. Hopefully that helps. The wing definitely functions without any issues 👍🏽
@MotorcarGallery I was curious about the underside of the solenoid; under the trunk lid. There's a plastic housing that covers the solenoid with an end cap that has a small, protruding hydraulic line.
Incidentally, thank you for raising the wing! That's crucial functionality for any Turbo, new or old.
@Fu-Schnickens I added a photo to the gallery, let me know if that’s what you’re looking for.

@jbtuckermd Mezger motor does not suffer from IMS issues as does the consumer grade M96/01/02/03/04 engines.
The auction description talks about mods to the car.
I wouldn’t worry too much about DME readouts - the driver cannot over rev the engine, DME hits occur bc the the driver shifted from 5th to 2nd and situations like that.
@MotorcarGallery Could you provide a closer view of the wing solenoid on the left side? Thank you!

@Rlanning I just added the build specs to the gallery! No IMS bearing issues on the Porsche 996 Turbos. I hope that’s helpful!

Oh, just saw the recent service record, sorry.
Could you post a DME readout please
Any changes from stock?
IMS bearing upgrade or no?
Most recent service records and/or PPI?
DME readout?
Cold start video?
Could you please provide a window sticker for this car. Either the original or a copy . What does “Toro embossed leather seats” mean? Does this engine have an IMS to consider? I don’t know if Mezers are different from the regular Carrera engine. Thanks, Rlan
