Produced for one year only, the Porsche 996 Turbo S was a sendoff to the 996 generation featuring the X50 Powerkit and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) as standard equipment. This Turbo S is one of less than 1,000 Cabriolet versions produced and comes finished in Black over matching full leather upholstery with features Supple Leather seats, Porsche-crested headrests, a storage compartment lid with a Turbo logo, an aluminum/leather shifter & brake handle, a Sport Shifter, and a thicker leather steering wheel. It was also optioned with a 6-speed manual transmission, stainless steel exhaust pipes, 18” Sport Techno wheels, and Custom Tailoring (special wishes that require further communication). A California car until 2016, this Turbo S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Missouri while showing less than 11k miles on the odometer.
The 996 Turbo features distinctive bodywork with model-specific bumpers, flared rocker panels, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and wide fenders with integrated side air intakes. The Turbo S receives silver badging on the rear decklid and yellow-painted calipers as part of its ceramic brake system. This example comes finished in Black with a matching convertible soft top. It was optioned with stainless steel exhaust pipes and 18” Sport Techno currently dressed in Bridgestone Potenza S-02A tires from 2013. The seller notes some paint imperfections on the hood have been professionally touched-up. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with Black full leather upholstery including optional supple leather seats and black floor mats with Porsche lettering. Additional options include Porsche-crested headrests, adjustable front seat lumbar support, lowered seats (-10mm), a thicker steering wheel, a Sport Shifter, a Turbo-embossed storage compartment lid, and an aluminum/leather shifter and brake handle. Other features include dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, and a Bose sound system.
The Turbo S comes standard with the X50 Powerkit which equips its 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine with larger K24 turbochargers and intercoolers along with a revised ECU and exhaust system. Up to 450 HP is sent to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) come standard and include larger 6-piston monobloc front calipers and cross-drilled 350mm ceramic discs at the front and rear. The seller adds that an oil and filter change was carried out in June 2023 and the CARFAX report shows a total of 11 service history entries.
This sale will include a clean title and owner’s manuals.

although I’m not really a fan of triple Black many are! a beautiful spec and they all should’ve had 350mm brakes IMO🤷♂️.

@MkTribbie. I have less money than this in my coupe and I have 650 horsepower plus. Yes I got hybrid K24s and I’m not done with my final tune. Been told by protomotive that my turbos will support 850 hp. I’m all about the $/hp cost.

Also: the driver cannot on purpose “overev” a 996 turbo. The cptr prevents you from doing that. The driver can however hit the revlimiter and see a Range 1 DME event. Range 2 occurs mostly when the driver is shifting down from 5th and hits 2nd by accident.

@Miked2020 DME report is not in terms of transmission gears. Rather it is depicted in terms of RPM. Think of Range 1 at redline and no further. Think of Range 2 as a small rpm after redline.
996 DME captures only two ranges. 997 captures a few more.

@h993_cab4 Carfax is in the gallery
Hey Luis - I would not worry. The small # of range two incidents equals a very short amount of measurable “clock” time - on the order of a few seconds maybe. There’s a formula out there to calculate.😃
Anyone has a concern about the last range two over rev happened only 25 hours ago. For porsche to certify CPO the last overrev at the high range needed to happen at least 500 hours previously to their dme total hours. Just saying what I have learned to the years. However I have seen many cars with a ton of range twos. My 63k car has 14 on range two. GLWTS
I may have gave missed it, but is there a Carfax posted? Also, how many owners to date?
Thank you.

Thank you for the DME report. I presume there are no over revs in gears 345 and six.
@Flibi4 I will guarantee complete and perfect operation on the top as well as the rear spoiler There are no leaks and everything operates as is should I apologize as I am not able to get to the car today in order to re film the top operation
Seller, please show a better video of the top operation. It needs to show the top fully opening and the rear hatch closing to a stop. The reason I bring this up, is for the buyer to see it functioning properly. I have the same car and had a microswitch and motor issue that would only allow my top to do what you did in the video because of a sequencing issue. It would not close the hatch all the way. The top would go up and all close normally. Also, does the spoiler function correctly or showing any signs of leaking? It was up in the video. Thank you.

Good afternoon everyone Thanks for checking out my latest listing This is a special car As the listing notes, one of only 1000 cars built with this configuration. Offer in triple black which in my opinion is the best color combination. @Miked2020 I will get you the DME report in a day or two I understand your concerns This should be a fun listing Good luck to all who bid
As I always do in my listings I like to tell everyone a little about myself. I am a small dealer in a suburb of St Louis MO. I have been in the auto business for over 40 years, the last 29 working for myself. I sell mainly cars that I acquire from local new car dealers here in the Midwest. I am by no means an expert on any particular model or manufacturer but I do have a good general knowledge of the luxury car market. Many of you are far more knowledgeable on particular models than I am so I do invite your feedback. I check my email and listings frequently throughout the day so feel free to ask questions and I will try and promptly get you an answer. If you are the winner I will gladly assist you with shipping arrangements as I do this on a daily basis. Again thanks for looking and bid early and bid often
True but still nice to see. Thank you

DME reports are in most cases totally meaningless. And in this cases will have no impact on its eventual sale.
This ttS will go high no doubt.
A DME report would be appreciated. Thanks
