We are pleased to present this sought after 2005 Porsche 996 Turbo S Aerokit finished in black over a black full leather interior.  Reported to be one of only 186 examples produced for the U.S. market, this 2005 Turbo S is factory equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission, the X50 Performance Package and a desirable Turbo Aerokit.  This 996 also features some additional performance upgrades including a GT2-style clutch, a sport exhaust system and an ECU tune.  Highlighting an original build sheet totaling over $148k, this ideally configured Turbo S is said to remain in excellent condition showing approximately 62k miles on the odometer.

The black finish on this Turbo S is said to be in great shape with minimal signs of wear.  A collection of detailed images is provided in the photo gallery along with paint meter readings.  This 996 has been factory optioned with the Aerokit package which includes revised front and rear spoilers.  Standard equipped yellow PCCB brake calipers are seen behind light-weight 18” alloy wheels which come dressed in Michelin Pilot tires from 2017 with few miles driven since installation.

Inside, you will find a black full leather interior featuring electric Sport Seats and aluminum-look trim.  Exclusive details include an aluminum/leather shifter and brake handle, a thicker steering wheel, Sport Shifter and heated front seats.  An aftermarket aluminum pedal set has been installed and the interior is said to be in excellent condition with all gauges and accessories remaining fully functional.

This 996 carries a 3.6 L twin turbocharged Mezger flat-six engine factory equipped with the X50 Performance Package which adds larger turbos and intercoolers, boosting the stock output to 450 HP.  Power is distributed to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission with a factory Sport Shifter.  The Turbo S model comes with robust PCCB ceramic composite brakes as standard, providing for excellent stopping power.  This example has also been equipped with a stage 3 clutch, upgraded diverter valves, a custom exhaust system with headers and an ECU tune amounting to a claimed output of over 500 HP.  This 996 has been lowered to European-spec ride height and the seller confirms that the original exhaust system will be included in sale.

Originally sold in Florida, this 996 spent time in Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee before being acquired by its current owner in California, who has added approximately 500 miles since their purchase in 2018.  This Turbo S is said to be in great running order and up to date on all due maintenance with service records available from its previous owners.  A fresh oil and filter service will also be carried out prior to delivery.

The sale of this highly collectible Turbo S will include the original books, tools and exhaust, service records and a set of two keys.  With its desirable factory features and tasteful performance upgrades, this rare 2005 Turbo S is not to be overlooked.

    @JNasty --- Hubby was the winning bidder and he is as excited as a kid in a candy store. This car will continue to be pampered and enjoyed during its time with us. Watching the auction was enough of a wild ride for me... I can't even begin to imagine what 500 HP will feel like! ;)

    @SMiller The two years that i have owned it the only things I have done to it is change the oil, replaced the front spoiler because I broke it, and installed Coco Mats. The BAT add was quite explicit and the care remains in the condition as depicted in the add. It did pass smog and was registered in CA..It has just pretty much sat in one of my hangers at Santa Monica Airport. Furthermore is anyone wants to see it, my shop is in my home. It is fully equipped with three lifts.

  • SMiller (seller) 3 years, 11 monthsago

    @vengerider @Sberger6 The car was purchased on Bring a Trailer. The link is https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2005-porsche-911-turbo-s-6/ This ad has a lot of your questions answered.

  • SMiller (seller) 3 years, 11 monthsago

    @vengerider @Sberger6 I will check on the brand but it appears to be a very high quality stainless system with straight pipes where the converters would have been . BTW the stack exhaust has the appearance of being new or very slightly used. I will also see if i can find out the tune on the engine.

  • vengerider (registered bidder) 3 years, 11 monthsago

    @vengerider I now see the exhaust is included after re-reading the listing again. So just the type, etc.

  • vengerider (registered bidder) 3 years, 11 monthsago

    @SMiller Can you provide details on what brand the exhaust and headers are on the car, are there cats, what tune was installed, what brand diverter valves, etc.? Any receipts for this work or throughout the car's history and is the original exhaust included with the car?

    @SMiller - However, since i have a 04 GT2, and an 88 930, I find that I rarely if at all drive this car." That was my point :) I LOVE this car... but, I have 04 GT3 and 86 930, so... I fear the same outcome for me if I bought it. But AMAZING car for anyone else on this site!!! These are AWESOME. My friend has a cab and I've driven it. The coupes are better.

  • SMiller (seller) 3 years, 11 monthsago

    @jmann2380 I completely inspected the car when I got it. I hate to admit but I have been working on these cars for about 50 years. I had my own shop back in 78 to 86. So needless to say I do all my own work. I have 15 Porsches (mostly 356 that i restore and I do not sell any of my cars) However, since i have a 04 GT2, and an 88 930, I find that I rarely if at all drive this car. All of my cars are in a foundation and destined to the Petersen Museum. This is a car that is a spectacular car but too new for the museum. Even though it is museum quality, they would not take it for a while..thus I sell it.
    The only thing that is bothersome about the car is that just like all 996's, you get some sponge material coming out of the AC vents every once in a while. This was a problem with the 996 model and early 997 model, Most people just just ignore it since the AC is not used that often.

    The car is a spectacular car. If anyone is local and wants to drive it you will immediately fall in love with it. It has amazing performance and would impress anyone on the track.

    I have gone through this car with a fine tooth comb as I do all my cars. If anyone would like to talk to me about this car please feel free to leave a number and I will get back to you with any questions.

    By the way the ceramic brakes look new and stop great.. However, I have not done any work on them.

    @RumbleAuto @stevetheodore - these are great! I've been circling them forever. I've owned a little of everything G-body on. For whatever reason, 993s don't get me going. For DDs, I've loved my 991 PDKs. More of a touring car for sure. Funny, I tried a 7 speed "T" w/ the buckets and no rear seats and seemed "the worst of all" (still big like a 991, not easy like a 991 S PDK w/ regular seats). Anyway, back to this sexy beast.

  • jmann2380 (registered bidder) 3 years, 11 monthsago

    @SMiller the $20k ceramic brakes :)

  • SMiller (seller) 3 years, 11 monthsago

    @jmann2380 woops..PCCB's

  • SMiller (seller) 3 years, 11 monthsago

    @jmann2380 PBBB's ????

  • jmann2380 (registered bidder) 3 years, 11 monthsago

    @SMiller do you have any information on the condition of the PCCB’s?

  • RumbleAuto (registered bidder) 3 years, 11 monthsago

    @JNasty - I am also fortunate to own a couple of Porsche's GT cars and treasure them, and I always pay close attention to the rarest 996 and 997 generation models as they are my personal favorite, giving us a special blend of old world feel, manual shifting, and enough creature comforts to still be plenty useful. I'm not a fan of the 991+ generations as I feel like more of the soul of the original ethos of the 911 is missing. Rare cars like this 911 Turbo S are indeed worth the money, and this one appears to be a really nice example!

    @RumbleAuto @stevetheodore - for sure, special. I'd - personally - place it behind the 996 GT2 and 996 GT3 for collector and desire value (despite 960 or so GT3s vs 200 coupe 6 speeds of these, as there are 300 tip coupes and 1000 cabs) given the value of the "GT" brand long-term. But, above a 996 TT. Right now, GT2 a lot more and an amazing GT3 about the same. In fact, if I didn't have a 996 GT3 w/ PCCBs, no sunroof, I'd be all over this car.

  • RumbleAuto (registered bidder) 3 years, 11 monthsago

    Thanks for confirming what I thought...this is definitely one heck of a special car and a special opportunity for the right buyer.

  • JNasty (registered bidder) 3 years, 11 monthsago

    @RumbleAuto @stevetheodore - you are right. Manual 997 TURBO, not S.

  • RumbleAuto (registered bidder) 3 years, 12 monthsago

    @JNasty - Are you sure about that? I don't think they did any 997 Turbo S cars until 997.2 generation, and that was a PDK only setup if my memory serves. I'm not always right!

  • JNasty (registered bidder) 3 years, 12 monthsago

    stevetheodore- 200 of the coupes made w/ 6 speed, 300 w/ tip. And just under 1,000 cabs (mix of the trannies)

  • JNasty (registered bidder) 3 years, 12 monthsago

    @stevetheodore - 997 had the stick too

  • RumbleAuto (registered bidder) 3 years, 12 monthsago

    These Turbo S cars are so uncommon to begin with in the 996 generation, and even more so with a 6MT. I'm pretty sure this is the very last Turbo S from Porsche that could be had with the 6MT at all, making it quite noteworthy and collectible. GLWTA!
