A sendoff to the 996 generation, the Porsche 996 Turbo S was produced exclusively for the 2005 model year. One of just 600 Coupes built, this example is finished in Slate Grey Metallic over a Black full leather interior and was commissioned through RUF Auto Centre in Dallas, Texas. It subsequently received RUF badging, 19" five-spoke wheels, and a comprehensive RTurbo engine package delivering a claimed output of 550 horsepower. Factory equipment includes a 6-speed manual transmission, body-colored exterior accents, the Carbon Package, supple leather upholstery, heated front seats, and Custom Tailoring (Special Wishes that require further communication). Showing approximately 26k miles on the odometer, this RUF-appointed and uniquely specified Turbo S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Oregon.
The 996 Turbo features distinctive bodywork including model-specific bumpers, flared rocker panels, wide fenders with integrated side air intakes, and a speed-activated rear spoiler. As a Turbo S, this example also includes silver badging on the rear decklid and yellow-painted calipers as part of its Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) system. Finished in Slate Grey Metallic, it features optional painted front spoiler lip, side skirts, and front air intakes. RUF-appointed details include a discreet hood badge and 19” RUF 5-spoke wheels wrapped in Continental SportContact 4 tires. A collection of images and a clean CARFAX report are provided in the gallery.
Inside, the cabin is outfitted with Black full leather upholstery and enhanced by the optional Carbon Package (small). Additional features include heated front seats, supple leather, Porsche-crested headrests, lumbar support for the driver, a Porsche-crested storage lid bin, and black floor mats with Porsche lettering. Carbon fiber and aluminum accents follow the steering wheel, brake lever, and gear shifter.
The 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged Mezger flat-six engine has been upgraded with a RUF RTurbo engine kit, featuring enhanced twin turbochargers, remapped engine software, and a sport exhaust system for a claimed output of 550 HP. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a desirable 6-speed manual transmission. Standard Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) provide stopping power with larger 6-piston monobloc front calipers and cross-drilled 350mm ceramic discs at both the front and rear. The seller notes a recent oil change and inspection, while the CARFAX report shows a total of 14 service history entries.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Now here is a Turbo S with an extra kick! If 450hp was not enough for you, here is your solution. This car started as a standard turbo S when it was brought to RUF Auto Center in Dallas, where it was converted to an RT550 package car. This upgraded the turbos, intercooler, intake manifold, DME, and more! With the RUF badge up front and the RUF wheels, this car is a sleeper - nobody will know what's lining up next to them.”
