Up for auction is this rare 2005 996 Turbo S Coupe finished in Cobalt Blue Metallic with a factory Turbo Aerokit. Having an original MSRP of over $160k, it is clear that this Turbo S sports the perfect blend of both rarity and value. Accordingly, only 186 Turbo S coupes were produced, making it one of the most sought-after Porsches out of the 996 series. As with all Turbo S models, this car is equipped with the desirable X50 power package along with a coveted Mezger engine which translates to 444HP / 457lb-ft Torque. It is now being offered out of Columbia, SC with only 26k miles showing on the odometer.
Said to be one of only two Turbo S coupe models finished in Cobalt Blue Metallic, this example shows to be in exemplary condition with an application of Ceramic coating applied to the entire exterior. Taking its unique nature to the next level is a factory Turbo Aerokit which consists of a fixed rear wing and a revised front lip spoiler. The Carfax notes damage to the front bumper, however, the seller states this was a very minor occurrence that caused no cosmetic damage. Additional exterior features include a sunroof, stainless steel exhaust and integrated side air intakes. Bespoke to the 996 Turbo S, a set of dark silver Turbo Twist wheels are installed which wear new Bridgestone Potenza tires.
This Turbo S has been appointed in a Graphite Grey full leather interior that highlights custom factory tailoring throughout. Deviated yellow stitching can be found on almost all surfaces while carbon fiber trim covers the brake handle and gear lever. Additional factory options include:
“Turbo S” is a designation reserved for models offering top of the line performance coupled with blistering, turbocharged power. This 996 Turbo S is equipped with a twin-turbocharged Mezger 3.6L flat-six engine with an X-50 package as standard. Putting out approximately 450HP, this 996 rockets from 0-60 mph in just about 4 seconds. A Tiptronic S transmission allows for a driver-friendly experience while PCCB carbon ceramic brakes make for ultra-precise stopping power. A high-end Europipe exhaust system has been installed adding an enhanced soundtrack to this Turbo S. The seller notes that this car has received annual maintenance including fluids and filters even with its limited use. It is stated to be in excellent running condition.
The sale will include two keys, all books and service records. Do not miss your opportunity to own this very desirable and uniquely configured Turbo S.

@URS6 This car is regularly serviced and inspected, the hose is not dried out it was simply cleaned, the hose on the right does not have a hole it's a water spot from cleaning. The engine compartment had been professionally detailed and new pics will be up tomorrow. Thanks,
@Spokayman You have a good eye, this is truly a very special 996. Thanks,
@JNasty A pedestrian walk in front of the car and was bumped into, the car was not damaged but naturally a incident report was filed. Some folks prefer a tip and some a 5 speed manual, this turbo s will get through the gears faster than anyone can shift a manual. There were two Cobalt Blue 996's made in 05, this coupe and the other being a cabriolet. Thanks.
What are we seeing in pic #28? One of those hoses seems to be dried out and does the other have a hole?
I agree that this is really a unique car. Quite sure it’s a 1 of 1 with the color combo and options factored in.
Facts (ie, mileage) features (ie, Tiptronic), and prior damage always affect prices.
It’s been awhile since I’ve been so tempted by a 996. A real pinnacle of that generation here!
@JNasty a painted bumper will have no impact on value of a car that is impossible to replicate
1) Carfax doesn't end up w/ a damage report if no damage was done. 2) Will be interested to see how much the accident and the tip offset the S and the miles and the color and the aerokit.
