Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) comes standard along with fixed 4-piston brakes with 330mm cross-drilled discs at each corner. No outstanding maintenance items are indicated by the seller.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a toolkit, an air pump, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean title.

@scottrogers86 this dealer is clueless. There was an entire class action lawsuit around the IMS bearings and during discovery, Porsche disclosed that about 8% of engines with the smaller bearing had suffered a failure “under warranty”. So that 8% figure doesn’t even include all the failures that happened out of warranty. This issue was very real. As I mentioned earlier, the good news is that this bearing is easily replaced with more robust unit from LN Engineering. Easy fix for relatively little money.

I was told by a dealer recently at the IMS bearing issue on these Carrera S was a bunch of online heresy. as long as your build had the M 97. bore scoring is that a separate issue, though?

If you look at the Carfax report, the break fluid was flushed twice when the car had 18,145 and 18,900 miles. What a waste of money. This is why I stopped going to Cherry Hill Porsche and started using Princeton Porsche.
I was told the cost for replacing the IMS was $2,500-$ 3,000. I will research it.
Never driven in the winter. These 2 wheel drive cars with wide rear tires don't work in the snow. I will take some pics. Thanks

The IMS comments always make me smile or cringe - which is it. I don't think anyone wants to roll the dice on that bearing - I think I read a Jake Raby (flat 6 innovations) comment recently talking about his engine rebuilt parts list exceeds $20K. Much better to get the LN IMS solution and spend $5,000 today - but you may want to do some more work while you're in there!!! Or roll the dice. None the less it's a nice car.
The brake fluid was changed when it had its 20,000 service. All records can be obtained at Cherry Hill Porsche or Princeton Porsche.

I'd like to add comment to the IMS bearing topic raised below: the "non-servicable" bearing has very low failure rate. It's a stable, robust, bearing system and one which would be replaced only when engine re-build is required (depending on care of car, this could be after many hundreds of thousands of miles). So if you come across a 997.1 with the larger "unservicable" bearing it's a GOOD thing not a bad thing when comparing to the smaller "servicable" bearing.
I hear the LN Engineering replacement is an excellent system so no worries.

The recommended oil change interval for these is the lesser of 20,000 miles or 2 years. (The first recommended oil change is at 10,000 miles). So by the book, there should have been 9 or 10 oil changes by now. So the seller appears to have changed the oil "by the book" which is a definite plus.
I assume the brake fluid should have been changed every two years as well, but haven't found confirmation online.
It appears the tires have 2018 and 2019 date codes (I can't read the date code on one on my phone), so those have been replaced at least once, and will likely need replacement again in a couple of years.
A low mileage, lightly optioned, one owner example. It should do well here.
@Bruno911 Thanks for your reply Bruno. You are absolutely correct. Using the engine production number, you can determine on the web that it is the smaller, easier to replace , bearing. It has not been replaced. I was also informed that the bearing usually has issues over 50,000 miles.
This is a 2004 production year car so the bad news is it has the smaller single row bearing which has a much higher failure rate. The good news is that, unlike the larger bearings In later production cars, this one can be replaced without tearing apart the engine. Buyer should replace this stock IMS with an upgraded unit from LN engineering for peace of mind.
well per the comment below - it is an m97 engine… what about the ims bearing? status?

@vonmec good morning. There are no mechanical issues with the car. The first two services that car is require to have would be oil changes at 10k-20k. It’s had at least 8 oil changes and the 20000 mile service. The car fax pretty much says it all. I am happy to answer any questions or take and additional pics you wish. Anyone bidding on this car that lives near my address is welcome to come see it and take a test drive.
