Up for auction is this tastefully upgraded 2005 Porsche 997 Carrera S presented in Black over a Black full leather interior. Offered in exceptional overall condition by its seller in New York, this 2005 example has been treated to over $20k worth of upgrades and customizations including a ducktail rear decklid, Fabspeed exhaust system, Alcantara wrapped steering wheel and 20” HRE wheels. Accompanied by all of its original parts including the factory wheel-set, this 2-owner Carrera S represents an incredible value with just over 37k miles currently showing on the odometer.
The Black finish on this 997 is reported to be in outstanding condition with clear 3M paint protection film applied over the entire front-end from the windshield forward. The seller has indicated a couple of stone chips located on the front hood and behind the driver’s side door as well as a small blemish in the PPF near the Porsche emblem (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). Modifications include an aftermarket Misha Designs ducktail rear decklid, clear exterior lenses, black chrome Fabspeed exhaust tips and GT3 taillights. H&R lowering springs provide an aggressive stance which compliments the 20” HRE wheels. Brand-new Hankook Evo tires have been recently installed in the rear and the fronts are said to have less than 3k miles of use. The seller will also include an additional rubber front spoiler as well as the original Porsche “lobster claw” wheels which have been professionally powder coated in Black.
The Black full leather interior is noted to be in pristine condition with the exception of a very small scratch indicated in the leather along the driver’s side door panel (pictures included). An Alcantara-covered steering wheel has been equipped along with a hardwired Valentine One radar detector, carbon fiber ignition and headlight switch surrounds, Lloyd floormats and a brand-new Alpine touch screen head unit with Apple Carplay. Factory options listed on the $90k build sheet include self-dimming mirrors, heated front seats, Bose High-End Sound Package, Power Seat Package and Porsche crested headrests. All gauges and accessories are said to remain fully functional.
This 997 carries a naturally aspirated 3.8 L flat-six engine which sends 350 HP stock to the rear wheels through a desirable 6-speed manual transmission allowing for a claimed 0-60 time of approximately 4.5 seconds. This Carrera S has been upgraded with a Fabspeed cat-back exhaust system as well as a short shifter kit making for improved power output, enhanced sound and quicker gear changes. H&R lowering springs were also installed which provide for better handling characteristics as well as an aggressive stance. All scheduled maintenance is reported to be update and the car is said to be in phenomenal driving condition with a 4-wheel alignment performed very recently.
Included in the sale of this 997 are a set of 2 keys, the original owner’s books and window sticker, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, maintenance records, a clear title, car cover and a vast collection of spare parts including the original wheels, all factory components and an unused rubber front spoiler. This 6-speed Carrera S has been modified and maintained to a very high standard, do not miss out on this fantastic opportunity.

@Cyclura1965 No issues but I've researched the block numbers with the smaller bearing and I'm roughly 900 blocks away from those bearings coming out of the factory in 2005, otherwise I would have replaced it before the sale.. This car has the larger bearing. I can provide the block number if you are interested.
Beautiful car and I am very interested. Have any issues/service arisen regarding the IMS bearing?

@AndrewS Yes the ducktail can be removed without any imperfections mechanically or physically and obviously the OEM mechanical spoiler comes with the car with all of the OEM parts to reaffix.
Beautiful car, well taken care of. That's the way to market your vehicle. One question is whether the aftermarket ducktail rear decklid can be removed without noticeable marks left on the car?
