Finished in Black over a matching interior, this launch-year Porsche 997 Carrera Coupe is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission paired with its 3.6-liter flat-six engine. The car has been cared for by a long-term PCA member and benefits from an upgraded IMS bearing, a new clutch, rear main seal, 19” 911 Turbo wheels, and H&R lowering springs. Showing under 59k miles on the odometer, this Carrera is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Minnesota.
This 997 is finished in Black and rides on black-painted 19” 911 Turbo wheels. Other equipment includes optional bi-xenon headlamps, fog lights, a speed-activated rear spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, clear side marker lenses, an electric sunroof, Porsche-branded brake calipers, and colored Porsche crest wheel center caps. The seller states new General G Max tires were mounted in 2021 within the last 4k miles and the left rear quarter was professionally refinished to address a scratch. Some minor chips and scratches are also noted on the front end. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing minor damage to the left rear end in 2009.
The cabin features Black standard leather upholstery with matching carpets and an Alcantara headliner. Accessories include a three-spoke leather steering wheel, Carrera logo door sills, automatic climate control, cruise control, a sound system, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM). The seller notes an aftermarket wireless receiver has been installed in the factory head unit and some minor wear is present on the driver’s seat bolster.
A naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine sends up to 325 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in less than 5 seconds while stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes and cross-drilled discs at each corner. The seller notes that H&R lowering springs have been installed and the car has been serviced with an LN Engineering IMS bearing, a new clutch, rear main seal, spark plugs, coil packs, and an air/oil separator under their ownership.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a toolkit, an air pump, a battery charger, an OEM windshield sunshade, and a clean title.

2005 997 was still an external IMS which is serviceable
as an owner of one of these, don't underestimate the value of finding one with the serviceable IMS, they are very rare and this one had it addressed.
