We are pleased to present this 2005 997 Carrera Coupe finished in Midnight Blue Metallic with a contrasting Stone Grey leather interior. This 997 Coupe features a desirable 6-speed manual transmission, XPEL paint protection film, full AWE exhaust system, and an eye-catching set of OZ wheels. This vehicle is being offered in excellent driver condition by the seller in Huntington, NY with 41k miles showing on the odometer.
The lustrous Midnight Blue Metallic exterior reflects the pride of ownership and is reported to be in excellent condition. A thorough application of XPEL paint protection film has been applied to preserve the hood, front bumper, lights, front fenders, and mirror covers. This rear-wheel drive Carrera coupe is 44 mm narrower than its all-wheel drive siblings, which makes for a sleek and elegant silhouette. The exterior aesthetic is completed by a set of aftermarket 19” OZ wheels, which come wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza tires with a significant amount of tread life remaining. The seller notes the factory 19” Porsche “Lobster Claw” wheels will be included in the sale.
Once inside you will notice the exceptional condition of the Stone Grey partial leather interior. The interior has clearly been well cared for since new exhibiting only extremely minor blemishes. The seller notes that all electrical components and accessories are in excellent working condition. This Carrera comes equipped with the following options:
The 3.6L M96 flat six-cylinder engine delivers 321 HP and 273 lb-ft of torque (est) to the rear wheels by way of a desirable 6-speed manual transmission. The already impressive factory estimated 0-60 time of 4.7 seconds is further enhanced by a full AWE exhaust system which allows the flat six to breathe freely while also producing a throaty exhaust note.
The sale will include two keys, original books, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clear NY title. If you are in the market for a properly maintained 6-speed 911 C2 this is the opportunity you have been waiting for.

@cwoodman67 https://www.awe-tuning.com/awe-997sexhaust. Full exhaust no issue w anything
@m0nte_krist0 ,
Thank you for the consideration. When buyers and sellers are close geographically we welcome you to take the opportunity to inspect in person prior to bidding. Good luck and we hope this 997 works for you!
Is the exhaust system just Cats Back so there won't be any issue with engine lights or passing emissions?
@ajcjr hey I’m in Huntington and was on my way to look at a 987.1, any chance I can take a look at it? Hope I’m not infringing on any bidding etiquette!
Does this have the M96 engine. If I recall correctly 2005 was the cross over year and some 2005's still had the smaller less IMS bearings. Is there a way of knowing which this was.
@Lenny my response was in regards to the IMS bearing.
My apologies. My question was related to the IMS bearing.
Bid in the amount of $21,000
Maybe I'm wrong with owning a 987.1 that can have IMS bearing issues, but @ajcjr we are referring to the IMS bearing, not RMS right? RMS is rear main seal. GLWA
Bid in the amount of $10,000
@Lenny no, there are plenty of ways to lubricate the bearing and research shows only a 5% chance of it happening. I have the oil changed and filtered inspected once a year no matter how many miles i put on the car . If you would like to speak to the company that services the car please let us know.
Has the RMS bearing been replaced?
Bid in the amount of $500
Such an amazing color and beautiful car. GLWS
