Available for auction is this 2005 Mercedes-Benz R230 SL600 finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic over Anthracite leather. The most powerful non-AMG version of the R230, this SL600 is equipped with a 5.5L twin-turbocharged V12 engine and commanded an original sticker price of over $137k. Other features include a power-retractable hardtop, Active Body Control, heated and ventilated massaging seats, COMAND infotainment with navigation, and a Harman Kardon premium sound system. Currently showing just under 36k miles on the odometer, this well-preserved SL600 has been dealer-serviced from new and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Illinois.
This SL is finished in classic Brilliant Silver Metallic is reported to have been garage-kept throughout its life while retaining all of its original paint, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. Exterior features inclide a power retractable hardtop, Bi-Xenon headlamps, fog lights, dual exhaust outlets, and side fender vents with “V12” badging. This example rides on factory 18″ five-spoke alloy wheels which were dressed in new tires in 2019 along with a wheel alignment.
The Anthracite leather interior is complemented by decorative walnut wood trim and a grey Alcantara headlining inside the folding hardtop. The twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V12 engine produces up to 493 horsepower and 590 lb.-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. This robust V12 power plant allows SL600 to reach 60 MPH from a standstill in as little as 3.6 seconds with a top speed governed at 155 MPH. @jwriggins We sold the car two years ago to the current owner, who drove it less than 300 miles! Prior to bringing it to us for sale, the seller just had a proper dealer service and new tires installed! The car is absolutely pristine inside and out, with all original paint.
