Seller, Can you post cold start and drive videos so we get an idea of the driving condition of this Maserati? and any warning lights in the dashboard? Any readings for tire tread, brakes? see brake rotors with surface rust, likely coz this is not driven much lately. Please provide Date codes on the tires. Is the AC working fine?
@TheWeekendMotorCo any reputed shop in your area that deals with European cars would have a high end Autel scan tool or similar which should allow them to get the clutch reading data.
Bid in the amount of $7,905
@TheWeekendMotorCo Each panel please. Also, did the person who traded it in give you any service records? If not, then no need to do the readings for me. Although, they're good to have posted for all prospective buyers.
What I do know, is the gentleman I got it from is the only owner, so the next owner will be the second owner.
I would recommend a service when taking delivery in general as the car hasn’t driven more than 500 miles in the last 8 years.
Unfortunately, I took the car in as a trade in, and the closest Maserati dealer is 3 hours away.
I’m calling around to some shops I know that deal with European vehicles to see if there is anyone that can measure the clutch for me.
Like everyone else I would really like to know the clutch life . Has there ever been a major service done ?
@TheWeekendMotorCo these Cambiocorsa coupes have a single clutch Ferrari F1 inspired transmission. the clutch replacement is quite expensive ($7K) and they don't tend to go out quicker if drive in "Auto" mode all the time, these should be driven as if it had a manual transmission (by manually shifting the gears using the paddles). Maserati dealership or an indy shop with the right scan tool can run the diagnostics and give you a report on clutch wear (usually in %) aong with bunch of other clutch settings/parameters. knowing how much clutch life is left will go a long way for the value of this car. The sticky button issue is well known too. several plastic surfaces & buttons were coated with a black rubberized material from the factory. over time, with weather/temp changes & oils/dirt from fingers touching these results in the coating becoming very stickey/gooey, leaves black gunk/residue on fingers when touched. There are DYI ways to retouch/refinish as well professional services to address this problem. you should be able to easily see when you touch numerous buttons and black surface like the vents and see if they feel sticky to touch. Hope this helps!
@batting thank you. To be honest, I’m unfamiliar with these cars to that extant.
Happy to help however I can, will just need some guidance.
@ThortonMelon any areas of concern? Or just multiple spots on the car?
Bid in the amount of $7,654
Really good looking Coupe ! Have owned one of these many years ago and as long as driven in sport mode with manually shifted gears from the paddles, its a hoot to drive. The V8 keeps pulling to the redline urging the driver to drive it the way its meant to be! @TheWeekendMotorCo any idea of the clutch wear? do you have a reading for it? What about the sticky buttons, surfaces (known issue with these)?
Bid in the amount of $5,500
There are no services on the CarFax. Do you have records? Please post paint meter readings. Thank you.
