Finished in Chrome Orange over a black interior, this 2005 Lotus Elise features several high-end modifications including GRP carbon fiber parts, Ultradisc brake rotors, Inokinetic FASTarms, Lotus LSS forged wheels, a Larini Club Sport exhaust, and a Katana 2 supercharger kit. It was purchased new at Manhattan Motorcars and driven by its original owner in the Hamptons before being imported to Canada in 2021. Reported to have never seen track use, this one-owner Lotus Elise is now being offered for auction with just over 9k miles showing on the odometer.
This Lotus Elise wears RTM fiberglass composite bodywork finished in Chrome Orange with a black removable soft top. The exterior has been modified with a Reverie carbon fiber front splitter, a Gut rear wing, and GRP carbon fiber mirrors, side scoops, access panels, and a front plate bracket. The seller indicates the original parts replaced with carbon fiber are included in the sale. Other details include front mud flaps, an aluminum alloy fuel filler door, a vented engine cover, a rear diffuser, and a center-mounted exhaust outlet. The car rides on and 16”/17” Lotus LSS forged wheels with upgraded 6.5" front fitment on 195 tires from the Exige model. The Lotus-spec (LTS) Yokohama A048 tires show date codes from 2009 in the front and 2015 in the rear. The seller notes that factory paint protection film has been replaced on the side panels and the exterior underwent a multi-stage paint correction followed by an application of ceramic coating. Some paint chips are present on the front bumper, door edges, side vent area, left quarter panel, and rear wing. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cockpit features a partially exposed aluminum chassis and a pair of black leather-trimmed sports seats with matching dashboard and door panels. Modifications include a GRP carbon fiber center console and a Darthholder cup holder. The car also features a leather three-spoke steering wheel, air conditioning, power windows, an ignition button, and a 4-speaker sound system with an in-dash stereo. Some scuff marks are noted on the driver’s door panel and plastic door sill along with some creases on the leather seat upholstery.
Originally rated at 190 HP, the mid-mounted 1.8-liter DOHC inline-four engine has been upgraded with a Katana2 supercharger kit and Larini Club Sport exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear wheel through a 6-speed manual transmission. The steering has been enhanced with adjustable Inokinetic FASTarms (set to FAST position) and the brakes are upgraded with Ultradisc rotors and Carbotech pads. The seller adds that the engine oil and brake fluid have been recently replaced with Motul products and the supercharger was reoiled with factory GM lubricant.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a clean title, and a collection of original parts.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for visiting our auction for this beautiful 1-owner supercharged Series 2 Elise. Purchased new from Manhattan Motor Cars in 2004, it has spent most of its life inside a garage only coming out for casual cruises around the Hamptons. It never saw precipitation or any track despite receiving all of the quintessential powertrain, exhaust, brakes, suspension, and aerodynamic upgrades to be ready for it. We are proud to have imported this US example to Canada in 2021, making it one of few Eliges that is street-legal everywhere in North America. This Lotus is ready-built to be appreciated at Cars and Coffee, carve canyons on backroads, and pushed to the limit on a track -- the complete package!”

Just wondering if viewing the car is possible before auction end? Is it located at the Hyundai dealership? I am only an hour away. Thanks!
Welcome to our auction of this exceptional example of a Series 2 Elise in one of the best Lotus colors - Chrome Orange!
Originally delivered new to New York, it was exported to Canada in 2021 and is now legal across North America. Most Lotus cannot cross the border in either direction, so this is extremely rare! Being an original US vehicle, there are no changes or modifications required to return to the US.
Owned by a mature caretaker all its life, it has many tasteful OEM+ upgrades including carbon fiber details throughout, Larini exhaust and the Katana2 supercharger kit, which retrofits the same Eaton supercharger used by Lotus on the the Exige S. With only 9000 miles, we were pleasantly shocked to learn that it had never seen rain or track when we acquired it and is now ready to be enjoyed by its next lucky owner!
Some additional things to note for both CAD and US buyers.
