The third-generation Dodge Viper was released in 2003 as the SRT-10 featuring a major redesign with new bodywork, a stiffened and lightened chassis, and an 8.3-liter V10 producing 500 HP. This 2005 example was ordered in Viper Race Yellow over a Black leather interior and was delivered new to the Nelson Auto Group of Marysville. This Viper now resides in California where it is currently being offered for auction showing just under 16k miles on the odometer.
The exterior is finished in Viper Race Yellow (YR) with a black convertible soft top. Notable features include a hood scoop and louvers, vented fenders, roll hoops, fog lights, red brake calipers with white Viper script, and a side-exit exhaust system. The seller reports some minor swirls in the paint, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The staggered diameter H-spoke wheels measure 18x10 in the front and 19x13 in the rear and are mounted with Nitto Invo tires displaying date codes from 2013.
The interior features two deeply bolstered sports seats trimmed in black leather with grey fabric inserts and Viper embroideries on the backrests. Amenities include air conditioning, a push-button ignition switch, power windows, and Viper-branded floor mats. The driver is supplied with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, alloy pedals, white-faced instrumentation, and auxiliary gauges in the center stack for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and battery voltage. An aftermarket Pioneer head unit has been installed in place of the factory radio, which is said to be included in the sale.
Under the Viper’s long hood lies a naturally aspirated all-aluminum 8.3-liter V10 factory rated at 500 HP and 525 lb.-ft of torque, driving the rear wheels through a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in as little as 3.6 seconds all the way to a top speed of up to 195 MPH. Performance features include a four-wheel independent suspension with lightweight aluminum knuckles and control arms, coil over shocks, and multi-piston Brembo brakes at all four corners over 14” brake rotors. The seller reports that an oil service was performed at 14,500 miles, and a multi-point inspection was completed in October of 2022.
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a car cover, and some associated literature.
