The Chevrolet SSR is a hardtop convertible pickup truck manufactured from 2003 to 2006, featuring retro styling inspired by Chevy’s Advance Design pickup trucks of the late 1940s and early 1950s. It is equipped with a power-retractable steel hardtop designed by Karmann and an LS2 producing up to 390 HP. Finished in rare Aqua Blur Metallic over an Ebony interior, this 2005 example pairs a desirable 6-speed manual transmission with its 6.0L V8 engine. Acquired by the seller from the third owner of 11 years, this meticulously maintained SSR is now being offered for auction out of New York showing less than 18k miles on the odometer.

This example was ordered in the uncommon shade of Aqua Blur Metallic. Equipment includes front fog lights, a power-operated retractable hardtop, a removable hard tonneau cover, a cargo area hard-liner, a wind deflector, silver door handles, silver running boards, pronounced fender flares, and twin exhaust outlets. The chrome 19”/21” wheels come dressed in Goodyear Eagle tires.  A scratch is noted on the lower front bumper, as depicted in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is upholstered in Ebony leather with a pair of heated and power-adjustable bucket seats. Accessories include a leather-wrapped four-spoke multifunction steering wheel, cruise control, power windows with a driver’s express-down function, keyless entry, air conditioning, and an electric rear window defogger. All gauges and electronics are confirmed to be in proper working order.

Beneath the hood, this SSR features a 6.0L LS2 V8 engine factory-rated at 390 HP and 405 lb-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through an optional Tremec 6-speed manual transmission and a 9.5” Eaton rear limited-slip differential. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH can be accomplished in approximately 5 seconds. The CARFAX report shows a total of 10 service history entries.

This sale will include a clean title, some service records and a car cover.

The seller would like you to know: “I acquired this from a very long-term and loyal client. who has owned this since 2014. This was in his collection alongside some very special Ferraris and Porsches. It is going to make the next owner very happy to have this special SSR.”

@Dozer Dozer believe it is all original No signs of any respray , I provided meter readings

  • Dozer (registered bidder) 2 weeks, 4 daysago

How about the originality of the paint?

  • 11JM (seller) 2 weeks, 4 daysago

@Dozer I wish I could address that response more accurately but I am not near the car. I can tell you they have plenty of tread and certainly no dry rot

  • 11JM (seller) 2 weeks, 4 daysago

@RetroOrville cannot promise the original sticker, it goes without saying if we find it we will include it

  • Dozer (registered bidder) 2 weeks, 4 daysago

What’s the date on the tires? Is all the paint original? Any clear bra?

  • RetroOrville (registered bidder) 2 weeks, 4 daysago

@Minkster I do not have anything other than what is in the photos. I’m sure it is something that can be sourced if it is important to you. If you are local and would like to come see it please let me know. Appreciate the interest

  • 11JM (seller) 3 weeks, 1 dayago

@RMCAG thank you for the input !

  • Minkster (registered bidder) 3 weeks, 1 dayago

Is the SSR specific trailer hitch included?

  • RMCAG (registered bidder) 3 weeks, 1 dayago

I can only imagine how hard this thing pulls with the supercharger. One of the ones I had was supercharged, but it was a 04, which was the smaller 5.3 engine, and it would still go. Between the color and transmission, this is a pretty rare "truck" as far as SSRs go. GLWA

@floman My late uncle had 4 of these things and I took care of them for him. I'm about 6'8 and its not ideal but can fit if need be. Much easier with the top down, but my eyeline would be right at the top of the windshield if I sat normally. That being said, me fitting in cars is not an uncommon challenge, anyone 6'5 or under should be fine

@floman I’m 6 feet tall, zero issues. If local please come check it out. I wouldn’t describe it as small
Inside, however, I wouldn’t consider it very roomy. Certainly bigger than any sports car and easier to get in and out of

  • floman (registered bidder) 3 weeks, 3 daysago

@11JM, gorgeous vehicle. I have always loved the lines on these cars. Can the seller, or anyone else, comment on interior room for big and tall drivers. Thanks, and good luck.

@bomongol thank you for the interest. The vehicle is not in Florida and I am not sure what the correlation would be with Florida and Carfax. Carfax only reports the information from shops that sell clients data to them hence not all service or incidents get reported to Carfax. The car is in perfect working order, is available for inspection prior to bidding and as stated in the listing includes service records from the previous owner.

  • bomongol (registered bidder) 3 weeks, 4 daysago

Why on the Carfax, no maintenance report in the last 10 years, since the car is in FL?
Do you have file maintenance for this period?
    Thanks
