Now available for auction is this 2005 BMW E46 330Ci finished in Imola Red over a black leather interior. From 2003-2006, BMW offered the Performance Package (ZHP) for the E46 330i including upgraded shocks, springs, lower control arms, sway bars, and more aggressive camshafts as well as special Alcantara interior trim and an M Tech 2 aerodynamic kit for the exterior.  This 6-speed 2005 example was originally sold from BMW of Ridgefield, Connecticut, where it was later traded in and purchased as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle before moving to Florida with its second owner in 2009. A coveted version of one of the most celebrated 3-Series, this ZHP-equipped E46 is now being offered for auction showing just over 60k miles on the odometer.

This 330Ci comes finished in Imola Red (405) with a black convertible soft top, ZHP-specific bumper covers and side skirts, dual exhaust tips, fog lamps, LED taillights, and optional xenon adaptive headlights with washers. This E46 rides on distinctive M-badged BMW Style 135 wheels mounted with Toyo tires from 2017. Some scrapes are depicted on the lower front spoiler and the seller notes a few touched-up paint chips throughout the exterior, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The interior of this E46 is upholstered in black Montana leather with ZHP-specific Aluminum Black Cube trim, an Anthracite headliner, a perforated leather-wrapped multifunction M-Sport steering wheel, a weighted ZHP short shifter knob, and orange instrument needles as opposed to the standard white color. Other features include power-adjustable and heated sport seats with lumbar support, automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, rain sensor, and Harmon-Kardon Sound System. The seller reports some wear to the steering wheel and sun damage on the passenger seat.

The 330Ci is equipped with a 3.0L M54 inline six-cylinder engine, featuring double-VANOS variable valve timing and more aggressive camshafts and ECU tuning included with the ZHP package. The 6-speed manual transmission benefits from a shortened ZHP gear ratio and sends as much as 235 HP and 222 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels, an increase of 10 HP and 8 lb.-ft of torque over the standard 330Ci. The ZHP package also equips a specialized suspension with sport-tuned shocks, springs, lower control arms, and anti-roll bars, as well as a unique lightweight underbody cross brace and a linear steering rack with a stiffer torsion bar. The CARFAX report shows a lifetime of maintenance through authorized BMW dealerships, the most recent being an oil service and maintenance inspection completed by Coggin BMW Treasure Coast of Fort Pierce, Florida in December of 2020. An oil service was also just recently carried out in preparation for sale.

This sale will include the original window sticker, owner’s manuals, toolkit, and a clean title. With its sought-after ZHP package and Imola Red finish, this 6-speed 330Ci will likely appreciate in value and collectability for years to come. Do not let this incredible opportunity pass you by.

I was hovering on an increased bid. I wish I had been more proactive about coming to see the car (I am local). I probably would've been smitten enough to crank my bids up. I think seller got a good price considering it will need some reconditioning but also the buyer is in for a real treat. This is going to be a real pleasure to drive once it gets a little TLC put in! Beautiful car

@T5ing struts and shocks are good for many many miles. And control arms only need the lolipops replaced not the whole arm.

Good evening everyone, the auction will be ending tomorrow at 3 PM EST. I will be around for any last minute questions. The BMW dealer in Ft. Pierce, FL is sending me what they have on file. Has had the same owner who is a retired gentleman since 2009 who always took it to the dealer for service. It is nice to see an e46 that has been cared for all these years. Happy to get quotes on shipping for anyone. Good luck everyone. Thank you.

great spec but unfortunately has the hallmarks of a careless driver with long fingernails...those zhp bumpers are notorious for getting mangled on parking stops. Some people are just hell bent on pulling forward until the tires hit the stops, I guess. At least these e46 cosmetic parts are still not too hard to come by and the next owner can get the car dialed in.

@SBerastequi Hello, tough to speculate on the seat. It is not torn or coming apart but just worn in an odd way. When it comes to the air dam it is all still there and intact. No wires are hanging, must of seen part of the skid plate slightly hanging. The skid plate is fully bolted in as well. Likely pulled too far onto a parking curb at some point. Low cars like these often are scrapped up but in my experience this is about normal wear for a 16 year old low car. Appreciate your concern.

  • SBerastequi (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Usually it is the driver’s seat that has wear, what happened to the seat cushion of the passenger seat? It does make one question how this car was driven when you see the scrapes and wires hanging down where the front air dam use to be. Beautiful car otherwise.

Hello everyone, a test drive video and demonstration of the top operating has been added. Also added is a photo of the factory front license plate mount for those who may need it in their state. Thank you.
